Could be that they add the Oort Cloud? and another hole straight into Sol? possibly with burnt Earth around or something, that IF it was other nomads and they did make the sun go supernova.
though sincerely.... It had to be other nomads and I'm still skeptical Earth blew up:mellow:
This is indeed an interesting idea, but then the only chance to get there would be via blind jumps at first.
On a note about the possible presence of Nomads in Sol itself: The Slomon K'Hara is feeding mostly if not only on solar power, and they have blown up our Sun. I see no reason for them being there, in a cold and dark system, unless one of our gas giants have reacted with the nova's wave, creating an other star-like object, as I've read earlier at someone as a possibility.
Wana Sol system- Crossfire mod.
Disco has allready lots of empty ( I mean popularity from players) systems , while main actions are focused in few regions of sirius. If Sol system was anihilated by nom supercannonship, what we will see there? Just billions of burned asteroids and Pluto? Boring.... dont you think?
If someone another would survive there, they would probably gone out of there. They would not be able to live there even sitting on space stations which survived thanks to Gendolf, who sayed to comming firestorm: "You shall not pass!" Maybe, developers can make another custom background to some of system, where could be seen remains after Sol star was CAABOOM on half of a background. Like this, for example
And make a rumor like: See that Green/Blue/Yellow/Any nebula there? That could be remains of good old Sol system......

Yes. Also, nomads came to Sirius on the Hispania. First nomad sightings in alpha and gamma. Coincidence? I dont think so.

There aint no problem

If this is correct, Gallia is nearer than Sol, but farther than Sirius, so I expect Gallia to be 200 light years away from sol, and 700 light years from Sirius. Some alien humanoid civilization (some block, tall humanoids I expect) must have rebuilt Sol and constructed huge Alderson disks, 1 AU sized cities, expecting a war between Neptune and Pluto by another species and so this concludes that we can't have jumpgates nor jumpholes to Sol via Sirius.
My opinion number one: I don't trust long intro. I see no reason of aliens just coming randomly and blowing the hell of our system without any contacts or stuff.
My opinion number one: The roots of humanity are in Africa, right? I wonder, how much of us are emotionally attached to it to desperately go there. Just for tourist curiosity - maybe, but not because we're all came from there. Same here, many years have passed and I bet Sirians see no reason for the odyssey to the place they came from. If you're creationist and don't believe in Africa's theory, then think about Americans and Australians. They (except for locals) came from Europe, right? They come to Europe just to drink German beer, flirt with Swedish girls, see Eiffel's tower and stuff. Not because their roots are here.

Ever thought about there is a good reason for them to do so, only the long intro gives no explanation at all?

I guess most of the ones bringing up this matter (including me) want to go and explore it for the very reason you pointed out too: tourist curiosity. Of course, if Sol had been blown up so bad, there is really nothing useful in there. Yet the mistery of what might be there after eight centuries still keeps people thinking and the urge to travel there and discover is being kept alive.
Edit: Another reason: find out what was the motive of the Slomon K'Hara when they decided to purge Sol.

Gallia is actually on the other side of Sirius from Sol. Quite a distance from the nearest point in Sirius, the Taus, especially compared to what is shown on the map.
