[st]All questions below must be answered, in order for your application to be considered.
Have you ever piloted a fighter craft and/or a bomber?
Yes, though it has been a while.
Why are you interested in joining the LSF?
My former employer is now defunct and I wish to make use of my prior training for the good of Liberty.
Do you have a criminal record, or have been in trouble with the Liberty law? If so, for what reasons?
No
Do you have any skills, competences and/or personality traits that could be useful towards the LSF?
If strike teams can use an Electronics Specialist then yes. Furthermore I am used to deep-cover assignments, having conducted several while in the employ of Nova.
Tell us about yourself, that wasn't already put on the application so far. (//short bio of the character, minimum 2-3 lines)
I have an older sibling, Kell Tainer whose status I currently do not know. Also I currently hold a degree in Nanoengineering from the Los Angeles Institute of Technology. My employment in Nova Security and Procurement was primarily as a Hacker/Analyst, with the occasional field assignment. NS&P was a subsidiary of Ageira Technologies.
If this application is approved, you will be put in our AIT (agent in training) course for two weeks, where we will determine if you're fit to be a agent in the LSF.

What should an LSF member do (Tasks, RP style, etc)?
Follow orders of superiors, RP as a Spy/Operative, protect the homeland, conduct things according to their individual LSF RP
Have you read AND understood the server rules of discovery?
Yes
Then explain why the following rules are important: 3.1: It's a game, our purpose here is to provide a good environment for others (and ourselves) to enjoy without fear. Coarse language, etc. doesn't help that. 3.3: This is a roleplaying server, going out of character in sys chat tends to disrupt that, not everyone wants to see a massive OOC conversation going on in sys chat, and they tend to be ridiculous 3.4: Prevents (or tries to) rules lawyering, its essentially a form of black mail as well. If someone does something wrong, either have a word with them about it, or report them, there's no need to threaten. 5.2: This is not a PVP server, its an RP server, PVP is an extension of this. 5.6 to 5.8: These are there to prevent abuse, and simulate character incapacitation I figure, you respawn sure, but well, this isn't a world where there is a fresh clone of your character and its ship ready to go and swarm the enemy again now is it?
Have you ever been sanctioned or banned for violating a server rule in the last 6 months? please provide links to the threads if so.
Never
On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your in-game Role-playing skills?
8, I've been here for 5 years off and on, there's always room for improvement

[st]All questions below must be answered, in order for your application to be considered.
Have you ever piloted a fighter craft and/or a bomber?
Yes, Guardians and Liberators
Why are you interested in joining the LSF?
I have been feeling restricted by my police work. I want to do more. I want to branch out and aid Liberty in more 'tactical' ways. The calibre of 2nd division LPI is not what it used to be.
Do you have a criminal record, or have been in trouble with the Liberty law? If so, for what reasons?
Never
Do you have any skills, competences and/or personality traits that could be useful towards the LSF?
As a police officer one has to learn to be very inquisitive and probing, not to mention an enthusiasm for justice.
Tell us about yourself, that wasn't already put on the application so far. (//short bio of the character, minimum 2-3 lines)
I was born on a rural estate on planet Denver. I come from a long line of LSF and LPI family members - I suppose you could say it 'runs in the family'. Throughout my career I have been noted as a very competent and capable Officer of the law, receiving the special commendation medal for my involvement in the West 48th street hostage incident about a year ago.
If this application is approved, you will be put in our AIT (agent in training) course for two weeks, where we will determine if you're fit to be a agent in the LSF.

What should an LSF member do (Tasks, RP style, etc)?
It is an LSF member's task to defend liberty from both external and internal threats. As for RP style, I draw comparisons between today's agents with regard to secrecy and duty.
Have you read AND understood the server rules of discovery?
Yes. I was sanctioned once and have no intention of being so again.
Then explain why the following rules are important: 3.1: Being abusive to someone trying to enjoy the game is never right. I certainly would not want someone to call me rude names, so why should I call someone else a rude name? 3.3: It is important to maintain your character for a full and enjoyable roleplaying experience. Why else would it be called an 'RP' server and forum? 3.4: Enforcing server rules is for the job of the admins, not the players. Its' like vigilantes. We're not batman. 5.2: Wildly shooting at someone is never nice. As mentioned earlier this is an RP server and that should be maintained at all times. 5.6 to 5.8: Basically be chivalrous in battle. If you die, you die. And unless you're jesus don't come back.
Have you ever been sanctioned or banned for violating a server rule in the last 6 months? please provide links to the threads if so.
Not in the last 6 months

-Rifleman, Liberty Marine Corps
-Scout, Liberty Marine Corps Force Recon
-Pilot, Liberty Naval Reserve
Department Interested in Joining: Tactical Operations
All questions below must be answered, in order for your application to be considered.
Have you ever piloted a fighter craft and/or a bomber?
Yes. After sustaining injuries on a mission during my time in the Marine Corps which impaired my ability to ruck march the extreme distances required by that service I was selected for retention and transfer to the Liberty Navy pilot corps. I would describe myself as an average combat pilot.
Why are you interested in joining the LSF?
I joined the Marine Corps for a challenge. When I sustained my injury and transferred to the Navy as a pilot I was made aware of the mental challenges of flying in deep space. While I am now fit enough to return to the Marine Corps should I desire it my time in the Navy has led me to realize there is more to challenge me than physical demands. The LSF seems to be the ultimate challenge: make decisions of extreme importance to Liberty often on solo operations. I think I have what it takes.
Do you have a criminal record, or have been in trouble with the Liberty law? If so, for what reasons?
No. I have no criminal convictions or service offences on record.
Do you have any skills, competences and/or personality traits that could be useful towards the LSF?
I am a perceptive and intelligent observer as the result of my time in Marine Corps reconnaissance. I was also trained in the Marines as a Tactical Questioner - a first line interrogator to determine the relative worth of a prisoner for the intelligence process. On several ocassions I have briefed senior staff on missions and reconnaissance data. In addition, both my time in the Corps and the Navy has given me the skills to operate with minimal supervision in both small teams as a leader and follower.
Tell us about yourself, that wasn't already put on the application so far. (//short bio of the character, minimum 2-3 lines)
I joined the military to better myself and see the Sirius Sector. During that time, both the Marine Corps and the Navy have given me the opportunity to do just that. I have taken academic courses from West Point Academy and possess an Honours Degree in Sociology as well as qualifications in intelligence analysis and briefing.
If this application is approved, you will be put in our AIT (agent in training) course for two weeks, where we will determine if you're fit to be a agent in the LSF.
What should an LSF member do (Tasks, RP style, etc)?
The Liberty Security Force represents an armed intelligence agency which could be described as a combination of the CIA/FBI. Consider other analogies to the KGB and Mossad. It is not the job of the LSF to engage the enemies of Liberty but rather to ensure the safety of the house through intelligence gathering. Who? What? When? Where? Why? How? The LSF seeks out threats in the near, medium, and long term in order to best prepare Liberty to defend against them. This would be shown on server by reconnaissance missions, questioning/interrogating witnesses/subjects, and undertakening planned (directed by faction leadership) strikes against enemy soft targets behind enemy lines.
Have you read AND understood the server rules of discovery?
Yes.
Then explain why the following rules are important: 3.1: We're all here because this is fun. Its important that no matter what is happening in character that out of character we are friendly to promote the best community possible. 3.3: This is an RP server, we are all here because we think roleplaying in the Freelancer universe is fun. OOC in system chat ruins the immersive experience for everyone. 3.4: Administrators and the sanctioning system are here to protect everyone's fun. By violating this rule it undermines the authority of the admins to protect us. 5.2: Combat is a major part of this game but is a tool to facilitate interesting roleplaying rather than an end unto itself. A lot more context and fun can be had by interacting with the chat system as opposed to the combat system. 5.6 to 5.8: PVP death rules are needed to have some consequence to dying. Otherwise, the believability of RP would be greatly impacted.
Have you ever been sanctioned or banned for violating a server rule in the last 6 months? please provide links to the threads if so.
No.
On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your in-game Role-playing skills?
7-8. I have a lot of roleplaying experience in other media (other video games, tabletop, play by post, etc) and am getting back accustomed to how things work in Freelancer.

A'den grew up alongside his father, a Freelancer Trader who never ever left the house systems, but still was one of the best in the business. After his fathers ship was boarded by pirates, and they killed his father infront of him, he decided to become one of those who serve and protect Liberty, in every possible way.

Protect innocents, scan ships and try to find illegal commodities, fight terrorism and pirates.

Yes
Then explain why the following rules are important:
3.1: It's a game but we're supposed to make a FUN game out of it. It's our own call to make that happen.
3.3: In a roleplaying environment, some people are really deep into their roles or their current roleplay. Just going OOC in system chat's disrupts the experience for many of them.
3.4: Supposed to prevent some type of blackmailing or self-justice. Have a conversation with someone breaking the rules, that should do it aswell.
5.2: This is an RP Server, and PVP is NOT a real part of RP. Understand the difference.
5.6 to 5.8: Supposed to prevent abuse and such, even though you respawn you have to RP that, and you can't have yourself replaced in a minute or so.

All questions below must be answered, in order for your application to be considered.
Have you ever piloted a fighter craft and/or a bomber?
Yes
Why are you interested in joining the LSF?
Border worlds are too empty for me so I decided to go back to Liberty's noisy space and it's law enforcement structures
Do you have a criminal record, or have been in trouble with the Liberty law? If so, for what reasons?
No
Do you have any skills, competences and/or personality traits that could be useful towards the LSF?
I am a good fighter pilot, I guess that I would be a good addition to the Security Force's fleet. Moreover, my previous employers were satisfied with my loyalty and responsibility.
Tell us about yourself, that wasn't already put on the application so far. (//short bio of the character, minimum 2-3 lines)
As I stated above, I wasn't born on a planet nor on a space station. That was a trade ship my mother sneaked into to get a cheap lift through the Edge Worlds. After we landed on Freeport 7 in 791 A.S she started to work in a local bar as a bartender. When I was 8, my mother started to have a bad feeling and nightmares about our home Freeport so we took a leaving Liberty passenger transport and for her 5 year savings got to Planet Honshu, Kusari. My mother wasn't able to continue working due to her disease so I had to become a 9 year old ship engine cleaner at a Honshu's local equipment shop. During my 7 years of work throughout the whole Honshu system I was taught to handle various ships, including fighters and even large transports, actually I only was once allowed to park one of these giants into the docks of Yukawa. Also I worked as an escort pilot for Samura and earned enough money to get a lift to a house called Liberty I was so curious to visit. My dream came true and after 2 weeks I was on Manhattan's local Police Department's hangar putting on my uniform. My work here didn't take long, I retired after 4 years of flying with the LPI and then I realised how surprisingly well paid that job was. I had enough money to get not a second hand but a totally new Sabre and fully equip it. I was going to see what Sirius is really alike and headed out of Liberty to the independent systems where I decided to start a new life.
A couple of years passed, I am a pretty rich mercenary but the life isn't satisfying me. The Borderworlds weren't like I expected them to be. Then I was reminded about Liberty by a small photo of my Police wing teammates. Then I thought about it a little and of course decided to visit Liberty and maybe to settle in.

Get the unwanted scum out of the Homeland and ensure it's economical well-being, also simply pew things if the words wouldn't do.
Have you read AND understood the server rules of discovery?
Yes
Then explain why the following rules are important: 3.1: The community isn't proposing swearing or any other impoliteness. 3.3: There are some players who want to immerse into the gameplay and they dislike being disturbed. 3.4: Pretending to be an admin can help to trick or rip off another player, it is not allowed. 5.2: 'engagubug' or no word attacks have made me mad a few times. Any attack needs a sufficient RP background. 5.6 to 5.8:Those are here for the sake of a fair play.
