Well I bought myself two sets of 1600 Mhz ram, a set of Patriot Viper 3 Mamba Black (2x4GB) sticks and a set of Kingston HyperX Genesis (2x4GB) sticks, my problem is as follows:
The Patriot RAM runs at 9-9-9-24 @ 1.5 Volts, while the Kingston HyperX Genesis runs at 9-9-9-27 @1.65 Volts
I was originally gonna go for the HyperX but the store only had one package regretfully, went with the patriot cause it was a good deal (gotta love black friday).
Will these two sets of RAM be compatible or overclockable?

Well, I used Gooogle and from what I've read, the answer is "sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't".
It seems that if you run the different brands in a separate "channel" (one brand per channel) then you stand the best chance of having them work together.
It really depends on your MoBo Bios build-in options. If it is higher class "gaming" MoBos have pretty good chance to fix it if you know what you are doing, however buying this ram means you are not really into it.You screwed at the different voltage, the timings are adjustable(understand under not over cloakable most probably). If you are lucky enough you can under/overcloak them both to synch perfectly, if not you can burn them as well.
My advice is to buy second Patriot Kit( works on lower stock voltage-can OC better and timings are faster) and sell the rest on Ebay if you cannot give it back to store or you can give them both back and go pro buying Mushkin. Mainstream RAM is cheap thing ,also I find stupid to run more thne 8 GB on dual channel anyway.

Generally, when there are timing issues, the mainboard will revert to the slowest timing settings that both the chips can handle. You'd not get max performance from the Patriot chips. For best performance and stability it's usually best to stick to one type of memory chip.
