In other words, no. Unless the devs want to balance (!) it out and give Nomads a LOT more bases in house space that we can park on, instead of having to simply F1 in space.

I very much doubt its even possible to differentiate between "I got disconnected because my router failed" and "I got disconnected because I switched my router off". Punnishing people, by assumeing that internet failures are -ALWAYS- the fault of the person behind the keyboard (Which is obviously complete rubbish), should not happen.

Noms can construct player bases too. 8|
That would be most oorp base ever. Where would they get their Ba, fwo supplies. And using what ships?

Das Wilde, they can get whatever the Noms/K'Hara might need.
IC| is also always willing to negotiate contracts. (nod)
1 more thing. Most miners do not land on bases. They stay in ore fields(which is RP) so they would lose out big time. I myself have 4 miners scattered around sirius.

This. Actually Cannon first anti F1 plugin dropped all of your cargo in space, it was made to stop the F1ing traders, back then there was no green msg so it was damn hard to track the F1ers.
In general the concept was flawed because people do have connection issues sometimes, loosing your stuff because your internet sux is bad thing.
F1 System works really well now why should we change it?
If someone F1 on you-kill him or report him or kill and report him.

At least make it to where when you F1 in space, you get shot back to the base you were last on. That will solve the problem better than anything imo. No one loses any equipment or cargo, they just lose the time and effort they put into going to where they F1'd at.
Dock on ore sellpoint.
Go to mining field. Fill up from a buddy. F1.
Profit.
No, just make the ship NEVER log out upon F1.

Good point...
I do think it's OORP for pirates to F1 in space though, I think there should be some sort of consequence for F1ing as a pirate.
I really think that you should simply allow a player to properly log off only on a base. If they F1 or disconnect, their ship is left in space, immobile.
How would this effect the player slot count, that is another question.
