If you want to know where, show me the money.

Well, as someone who had an [LN] there pewing away for hours AFK, I have to say that this was both interesting and irritating.
Interesting:
Well, it certainly was brazen to put an unlawful base right next to the capital of Liberty. And it certainly provided lots of interaction on the combat side. Thankfully I know how to set my AFK pew so that it automatically aims when I tab out, otherwise I would have been missing like some of the others. It was good to see effort put in on both ends to make things happen here, and the positive things that AshHil007 mentioned I agree with.
Irritating:
Okay, we need to rework bases or something. That took an absurd amount of time/effort, especially for a Core 1. It may be beneficial to consider limiting the number/cargo size that can be docked on a PoB at any one time, otherwise we have a god-mode entity that just summons infinite resources. I understand it's quite an investment to get one going(I run a base), but there has to be a limit to how long it can resist assault or you just ruin things for the others who work to take it down.
The amount of OORP on the unlawful side to get it going annoys me. We had a GMG| (you know who you are) vessel undocking from there, plus almost half a dozen ALG IDed Transports and a Samura IDed one. If you need to use "lawful" vessels to build your "unlawful" base, then there's an RP problem with that right there. The whole "barge" thing was a joke, too. Additionally, the behavior of the CFH in trying to powergame everyone with the whole "hostage" thing was terrabad. Not to mention the kicking out of one CFH as AshHill mentioned because his LNS was there to pew the base.
On the whole, I think the unlawfuls could have done a lot better job at this. What does it speak on their part if the whole thing was there for "lulz" instead of RP? You laugh at "lolns" for their actions, and then you sit back and "lolpirate" amongst yourselves over pulling one over on them. You're not really any much better if you waste your time/effort building a base just to get a laugh out of it. Trying being more RP next time and perhaps we'll all have more fun.

I dunno, its a game, doing something to get a laugh sems to be a good goal to me. That said, yes, metagaming like kicking someone out for using their LNS, or lying in // is bad, and RP is always good.
Not sure where I stand on the "using lawful transports" issue, I mean on the one hand it seems oorp, but on the other, people who work for lawful corps can break the law, it happens in RL, and its the LN/LPIs job to find, arrest, FR5 them.
