King's Cross was established by Her Majesty's Bretonian Crown in 819 AS, and placed under the stewardship of the nationalised asset, Bowex. In conjunction with BMM, the station has seen significant activity in recent days as a trade and storage hub. Local area security has been handled by a cross-organisation cooperative initiative, headed up by Bowex ExSec forces and supported by a stationary defence grid. The garrison of BPA and BAF forces aboard has also greatly secured the region, discouraging Corsair raids and expansion.

King's Cross currently operates on a semi-restricted basis, allowing access to entities who have been granted a "King's Cross Docking License". These are generally issued after a paid purchase, although the Crown Services umbrella reserves the right to dispense them at their discretion. King's Cross provides a wide range of services, which are ever expanding. Popular services include exclusive BMM ore storage and resale, docking module retrofitting, cargo berth rental and soon armoury clearance and resale.
