if you keep it on the same account you cannot log it back in till your other ship in space is gone.. so it gives you faster response to jump back on the transport for example.
but hey like cannon told me:
How did you get all those cau8. A small explanation. But more handy is to team up with someone else like i did. 2 transports and have a miner account you share. wich is f1'ed in several minefields. and make sure you could take several routes. when you sold your ore you go straight to the other field. stand next to each other 1 f1 and relog the miner in that field and mine you full 2x. (littlebit more for possible npc beams) and then f1 again and relog and off ya go. we had days with 600 mills each. (o wait almost a cau8 )

multiboxing has always been banned but the only exception tolerated by the admins was for equipment transfers and provided you'd do it in the shortest amount of time possible, which shouldn't be more than a minute ingame.

ally did you even read my explanation? its not multiboxing. you use the same computer with same account. you cannot log into the server without your miner being gone.

Fairly certain even that's a no go now, considering they have software to prevent the sorts.

looks like it. the trick has always been to launch one instance of fl in normal mode and one in administrator mode, which would open two freelancers or more if you wish. I just tried with two separate accounts and the second one got DC'd.
Cannon fixed the multiboxing question the hard way

Turning into quoteception here.
I'm glad to see Cannon is fixing it, as the only really Practical use for it would be trading equipment account to account, which now you can simply get a friend to go to conn with you ( Which I believe is still frowned upon, but sometimes you gotta get your hands dirty to clean up the mess.)
