Work is in progress, starting positions, exact time of the event and specific set of rules (if necessary) are to be arranged.
Leaving this one here to come back later.
Background.
Despite the fact that there had always been tensions between Liberty and Kusari, their interests had only crossed occasionally and never turned into an open confrontation. But while the public field was mostly filled with political statements and economical sanctions, the intelligence agencies worked against one another behind the scenes. The interest towards Nomad-related research, that had recently arisen among the high-ranked Kusari officials due to the need to put the end to a lockout of a strategic installation, - the gargantuan fortress in Tohoku, - had finally fuelled the intelligence mechanics. Kempeitai had planned a complicated operation to manipulate one of the Liberty Security Force’s most valuable researchers and convince him to work for Kusari using the spy network constructed for the last ten years. Great resources had been thrown into the balance. Lives of the valuable agents had been risked. It shouldn't had went wrong.
Yet it did.
It’s not known if it was a failure of one of the Kempeitai operatives or the interference of the third side, but the operation failed. Everything happened in a matter of minutes, the whole sophisticated operation turned into a chase. By that point the Liberty Security Force had already been looking after the Kempeitai infiltrator, and when he was found on the floor at Kodiak station, paralyzed yet alive, a number of things were put in order. A scientist disappeared and the trace led towards Ellesemere. Liberty Security Force agents launched from Alert station to intercept the runner.
Kempeitai got its own message as well. With a very little time to assemble the people, the Kempeitai launched a wing stationed at SPV Amaterasu that was being prepared for tactical exercises in Hiroshima and they moved towards Oita hole at best speed. That desolate system locked between the heavily guarded space was the shortest and yet the most compromising way - and everyone understood that. The price was that high.
Scientist is to be guided out by a Kempeitai agent, now disclosed. So far that’s his only chance.

runners?
By "Runners" we mean the scientist and the "Kempeitai agent" escorting his ship. The details can be found in the story (the link is in the first post).
Okay seriously, what the hell do you guys think you're doing? Communication, communication, communication. Are you going to talk to Lib Gov and the [LN] on this, or march around doing whatever you want?
I'm one of the most change open members on the server, but seriously, this stuff needs to be worked out OORPly first.
I'd ask that everyone involved get in touch with me, Kevin, (grnraptor) or Sarah (Lolrawr) about this stuff before making these kind of event advances, thank you kindly.
Please don't respond to this post in this thread, I'm not interested in five pages of back and forth roleplay justification.. we'll work this out on Skype. I'd like whoever is involved to send a contact request to kiith-soban

Christ, man, people are just trying to set up an event. No need to get so upset about it. It's an idea for an event; presumably people can sign up if they're interested. It's not like you've been dragged into something against your will, is it?
Also, not entirely sure what you're talking about [LN] for, cause this looks like an LSF/Kempeitai event to me. Correct me if I'm wrong, but those people you mentioned look like [LN] leadership too, not =LSF=.

This is potentially Liberty plot changing stuff that involves the house of Liberty, same as the Alaska event. Me (and I'm sure Lib gov as well) is willing to work with it, but you guys can't just go making decisions like this without talking to the people it affects in the grander scheme of things as well.
The person who planned this event, aka Tim, is currently busy with RL stuff. The rest of the faction pretty much stopped playing their [KPT] chars, which means that we wouldn't be able to get enoug pilots for this event. So, I really wouldn't count on this happening anytime soon.
About this "OMG why didn't you talk to us"-thing. This was supposed to be a secret war between two intelligence factions, the [KPT] and the =LSF=. You know, the typical shady business, a chance to do something else besides patrolling in Kusari/Liberty or doing some stuff in the Omicrons etc. And I very much doubt that either Tim or Catbert wanted this to have an impact on the Liberty lore for the future, so I really see no reason why the [LN] or some stupid house government should be involved in it.
But as I said above, you need some people who'd attend to this event, and that's something the [KPT] doesn't have at the moment.
