I know what Freeport 7 was. That was 20 years ago. There have always been several freeport settlements scattered around Sirius in dangerous places. They've never needed battleship defense.
But inRP you cant say that, just because discovery lore hasnt allowed another incident like FP7 to occur does not mean inRP it cannot happen.
A fleet of bombers wont do squat against marauding nomad death squads.
Even the zoners inRP cant stand upto the might of Nomads they are just too powerful, but Battleships give the zoners some hope.
by that logic, the mollies cant stand up to noms...

Obviously you never heard that in current state cruisers can solo battleships and corvo (Zoner one) is most OP of them all.
Thats human skills using non vanilla mods like turret steering that allow dessies to solo Battleships but inRP that will not suffice. Who has the most Battleships win like the GRN have 150 Valors and BAF have 30 Dunkirks inRP MAX, Bretonia loose Leeds as Numbers win.
After everything that happened in the nomad war, it would be stupid and illogical inRP for zoners not to have Battleships capable of defending stations.
Whats more ooRP than zoners having Battleships is Pirates having them, Corsairs, Outcasts, Red Hessians. Where the hell did they get the resources to build cap fleets on par with houses? Pirates have no need for them inRP

Sairs and outcasts are pretty much houses in their own right. normal pirates dont have access to them and hessians.... i dont know why they have them either.

are you going to campaign for them to get BSes?
Like I said above no pirates inRP really need BS, mollies included their encounters with Nomads are rare and when they do meet. they are overcome by aliens. I am looking at this only for a inRP logic point of view

Actually, if we're going by inRP logic--
Corsairs and Outcasts, while not giant megahouses like the main 4, are still competing not only against each other, but the other houses they export their contraband to.
The Mollys, while not a house, are competeing against Bretonia. But since they don't have an entire planet, or more, at their disposal, they're allowed up to Cruisers.
Zoners don't compete with anyone, technically.
In fact, if you retards didn't have ships bigger than gunboats, you would NEVER, EVER think of doing half of the stupid shit you do.
Just joined TAZ and still the only reason I can think of myself flying a Nephilim is because it's two biodomes on the sides provide good RP basis for agriculturing some weed-like plants and get as high as I can.

Your average Zoner does not need a capital warship. They're in tight with the Order in case something goes horribly wrong in the Omicrons. They can go hide in Baffin if things get pants-soilingly bad in the Taus. The Sigmas are pretty close to the Omicrons. Same with the Omegas.
Now, add in the question of "who really wants to kill Zoners?" and you've led to the question, "do random Zoners really need battleships?"
No. They don't.
Of course, there are a couple official Zoner factions that could use one or two -- Phoenix and TAZ for example. Thankfully, TAZ already has an ID of their own. Phoenix doesn't, but they could get a SRP one if they wanted to.
"But what about the mobile Freeports, Kaz?"
The Jinkusu Juggernaut was designed as one. The Nephilim Dreadnought is not. Check the infocards. I think I remember one usage, maybe two, of the Jinkusu as a "mobile freeport". That's it. Everyone else used them for waving around like male-exclusive extremities or pewing nomads in the Omicrons even though they're not supposed to according to the ID.
Just remove them from the ID. A destroyer is plenty for your average Zoner.
Discuss.
I agree with the idea, it would be like the K'Hara, SCRA and Wild do
SCRA: Indies cant use the cruiser
K'Hara: Indies cant use cruisers or the battleship
Wild: No one but them can use the Scorpian GB
Or do a area restricting like the Order and Hunters have
