Too lazy to read it all, so here is my solution to this problem. Keep the snacs and everything, but make fighters killing bombers in 3-5 minutes instead of usual 20.
Okaaaay... Let's make a key study. Let caps be able to use fighter missiles. Make weapon groups, press a button or two, bomber explodes, pick a next one. No big deal, rest will run like cowards anyway. So, no more need for that hard to find escorts too. Party time!
But, let's see about this:
1. How many new players will start play Disco in that case?
2. Will they be nice?
3. What will they use their caps for?
Dunno where did you point that... But anyway, anti snub weaponry on caps should kill them instantly, but not be accurate enough, so that this kill would be just luck, depending on a distance as well. As for snubs, they should either have no repairs, or all armors should be removed from them, because that makes things very inbalanced.
Because the cost is based and calculated on damage and armor values, instead of actual ingame usefulness.

and another thing : is the smaller vessels that are escorting the Bigger carrier, battleship for the fFirst 1 main reason: the ability blast to hell almost anything except a Greater Force just like it, from subs up to bomber and even more it can send punishment back; u circle around the WW2 like a bug on a flashlight; you would be amazed to how many torps have carriers today hell even fregates destroyers....that's right they adapted in a loong time...except the disco is being kept behind 10 years by some limited minions(omg, i dont want to change..i wanna be like this forever...i was the best it was such fuun...yeaaa and i'm a flower)
Yes....and now that we have bases..... Caps have a more full filling role. I see zero faults, or reasons as to why it is a terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiibbbleee idea to make PoB's worth more to in game continuity. Balance is a myth. The real way to describe it is "PvP fairness and RP ignorance."

Indeed ! u right ! even a blind dude can press the button and launch that missile! missiles shouldn't be a such powerfull weapon not even on fighters.....; but on the other hand Weapons require aim, the right zoom And zoom switch plus weapons group switch; i for one hope for the Weapons to be improved a bit, the tracking maybe...or bring the damn bomber's damage Somewhere Near his Snub stats that it has!! Peoople it has the damage of a cap like ship (in 2) while bearing the stats of a snub; Of course is normal to fear bombers just not in such LOW numbers needed, it's ridiculous (and Frankly i hope bombers will not be nerfed too much..just just a little bit to make the Appearances acceptable...) I mean if you are not in a lsc with razors, a corvo,AI cruiser,thanatos or Kdessie you really have little chance against 2 good bombers (also the RH cruiser is quite a beast but we all know whi) and i Still support the ideea that such a fine adversary, challenge, shouldn't be be handled to just anyone (be really good at it and mostly be Fairplay, that's what matters really, and there will be no complaining about it...)
