Ah now I understand, I see who your character is...

I asked for a "good" light fighter pilot perspective, ya know the type that actually fights in them <3

edit: ^Sry that was me being rude. I'n my opinion there are two kinds of light fighter pilots. those that:

a) use the ship to get behind you, take small jabs at you and know that you will eventually drop mines to try and get them and they'll take advantage of that. they will use their mobility to retain the upper hand and put pressure on the pilot in the heavier ship as they slowly chew through his regens (or fast if he panics and take dmg from his own mines). they can win duels.

b) those that use the ship to dodge endlessly waiting for enough core to launch some sort of insta killing super combo they think they have when the guy chasing them is falling asleep - or at least "win" by boring the chaser so much that he ends up leaving. usually they spend most of their energy trash talking rather than fighting. they hand over their best card by letting the heavier ship take the lead, and rarely win a duel.

I'm interested in what a) thinks, because I have been killed plenty by those.

Yeah I do A)

It's not difficult tbh, in group fights I accompany it with crazed strafing in case anyone else picks a fight. I rip other LFs apart, especially if they're on someone else. Bombers.. Well they have so many regens and so much hull it gets boring after a while. Mines aren't too hard to dodge either, and if you pop them as they drop with your guns you can have good times.

Also: Tell me who you think I am! There is no way your could possibly know!

Harland/Seven...

I met you while I was on transports and on VHF's, I remember breaking off from a fight with you in Magellan because you entered shieldrunning/trashtalking mode while you still had half ammo half regens left. You didn't even point your ship towards me or fire your guns beyond that point, however you were much more eager to put up a fight when you were in that bomber, you were camping the jumpholes and you had your mates and I was alone in a transport full of cardamineWink
