Right, this little faction gets a "no" from me, why? Rheinland has enough pirates, whether you people see it or not, the RM do get whored daily. By not only the ones that should be in Rheinland, but all the stupid independent Outcasts and Corsairs that like firing at the planet.
And from what I've read in reports and see in game, you haven't managed to get off to a good start. Creating characters before acceptance? PvP whoring without much RP at all? A bunch of new players that like flying around in Sabre's yelling "DiE! LoLZ!"? Yes, horrible start indeed... Rheinland doesn't need more pirates, how 'bout getting the RHA a little more active, they could use it instead of having to create an entire new faction. Get Kusari and Bretonia active maybe? Ya...
That was because we wanted people to 'see us' in action?
Quote:A bunch of new players that like flying around in Sabre's yelling "DiE! LoLZ!"?
I don't know, WHERE did you get that and I don't care about that. Bring me a proof
of BU member saying that eh?

Hell.. We spent our time and money to set up faction we WANT TO
create.. I don't personally care for Kusari and Bretonia.. Are there any Bundschuh in Bretonia
or Kusari? Well I can't see any..
Quote:how 'bout getting the RHA a little more active, they could use it instead of having to create an entire new faction
We are so closely allied to RHA that it's almost the same.. So please don't mess our efforts being good RP faction..
Lord knows we are trying hard.
Alright, so somehow in my forum trolling for the past few weeks I missed this. :$ Anyway, I read the first 6-7 pages and then DBoy's dismissal, and I'm inclined to start my bundie (when I get around to it...) as an independent one who helps you out, or possibly has a side role in your faction as another ship (maybe a Loki or something). I do, however, approve of your efforts to create a bundschuh faction, something I had given up on after a few days on the forum. So, if you *desperately* need that fifth member and have gotten serious approval elsewhere (or convinced DBoy to change to an approving standpoint, and not through coercion but really working on what he pointed out), then Klaus.Metzger will probably join you.
After reading this thread, it seems like it might be a good idea to lay down NPC faction descriptions solidly, as it appears they are a little too open-ended (and hard to access; quite difficult to grab most of the data for them without playing them for awhile).
For what it's worth, I've told my guys several times to avoid engaging the RM if possible. We may be the most direct competitors, but as a faction and as individual pilots, I don't think we can stand toe-to-toe with the RM. So I encourage my pilots to concentrate on traders, escort fighters, and Corsairs. I've also encouraged them to make the occasional trip up to Alpha, both to show support for our allies and to help them repel at least a few of the regular Corsair invasions.
The biggest problem lately with RHA activity has been my own inability to get in-game. I've been very busy at home lately, and I think I may need to leave one or two factions...which sucks, because I love all the ones I'm in.:(
The second biggest problem is that we get whored more often than some might think. There's a near-constant BHG presence all throughout the Omegas and Rheinland; they often hunt the plentiful Corsairs, but if they spot a Hessian or two they'll pounce just as happily. Then there's all the RM indies, the lawful indy caps...essentially, it winds up as we (or I, anyway) tend to spend most of the time picking our few fights with the utmost care and doing a lot of running away.
This isn't a problem for some, I guess, but it's a problem for me. I don't like engaging in constant PvP, and due to my neck injury giving me grief it's hard for me to do any fighter battles, because it hurts and I'm not gonna wind up with a headache and stabbing pains at the base of my skull for the sake of a game. However, I don't want to be seen as a capwhore, and I do enjoy flying my fighter/bombers vs. NPCs...so, a quandary.
Anyway. Wow, I got way off-track there. One more off-topic thing: Chopper, I don't hate you.:POkay. Now...I agree with most of what's been said. Bundschuh ought to behave something like the Xeno squadron I'm in does: fly around obscure parts of the system, talking over the system chat (propaganda) before attacking. It lets people know who you are, why you're here, and the hunt is more fun than the fight! It's even more fun when you manage to hit maybe one or two targets, then slip away clean. You are supposed to be a small, weak faction; so you ought to behave like one, for the most part.
Bleh. It's late here, and I'm tired and running on not enough sleep, so I blame that for any sense I may not make.;)
I think one of the issues that we might be having is that quite a few of the BU, at least, almost all of those that came from where we came, are fighter jocks. That is, we enjoy PVP... a lot. I sounds like many of us have been trying to RP, but RP in a very aggressive manner, trying to get more PVP. It appears as though we had some misconceptions, such as people enjoying PVP just as much as we do.
Probably should have taken a little time to get a feel for the server, but what's done is done. I, for one, am trying to adapt my tactics to the atmosphere of this server more.
Konstantin out.
Edit: And on the note of creating characters before being approved, I looked through the forums, maybe not closely enough, and was unable to find anything that actually said that you could not create a character with the faction tag in their name. Wondering if I had missed something, I also asked around on the server and it seemed as though it should be fine. If creating the characters before official acceptance was such a major grievance, all I can say is that I'm sorry, but the rules did not appear to explicitly say so.

I just had one of you F1 right in front of me to avoid getting killed..
It was in a period with no lag... 3 ships were shooting on him....and he tried evading for quite some time...
might have been a disconnection... but it certainly came in just the right time.
That was me. People came to the door looking to show the house for selling; I hit alt-f4. I came back when they left, apologized, and attempted to leave system, having stated that I was doing so. The three players who were in system with me were in system when I came back. I was attacked and destroyed on my way out - by, if I'm not mistaken, the same people who had been engaging me before.
Incidentally, I quit the game with shields partly up, full hull, and plenty of bots, bats, and cms in my hold.

EDIT: on the other hand, it doesn't matter, because I'm done here. No hard feelings, and nothing against the community, but things like this:
"I dunno about you, but I can only stomach so much combat. Part of the reason why I don't come on very often anymore."
Just don't describe the kind of game I want to play.

When players here say that they are sick of PvP it isn't because we don't enjoy combat. I fly with the RM on occasion and every time I turn around I'm fighting someone new. and over 50% of the time the PvP is boarderline ooRP PvP because those people have no real business to be in Rheinland.
If my PvP in Rheinland was limited to RHA, W, Bundschuh, and BU I would be fine with it. But its the Blood Dragons that claim they have non-existant alliances so they can come fight RM, its the Corsair GB that's sitting above NB saying "I just came here looking for a fight" its the Outcast Destroyer that comes to New Berlin saying "I want to kill you" that annoys me. All three of those groups have no real business in NB (I'll grant chasing a trader on occasion) so I should have no real reason to fight them unless I wander into S13.
I'm sorry for the rant but you have to understand that there is more going on here then just your faction. I haven't seen you guys outside of this thread (i think, could be wrong). It takes time to get to know this community, its quirks, what it hates, what it does, what it goes through.
One thing I do give you guys props for is I haven't seen anyone in anything bigger then a fighter. Which, compaired to most factions, is pretty amazing.
Also, regarding the creation of the chars before faction was approved.... guys, LPI has had chars for a month if not more. KoF had members before they were offical, ect. These guys were just trying to show that they would be active, and you took it and threw it back at them. Give them time to learn.
' Wrote:Erm... Chopper? I'm gonna let you in on a little secret here...
The day when we get a daily report from our officers that -doesn't- have at least one combat in it is very rare indeed. It's pretty literally every day we get -somebody- coming in we have to fight. Most days, it's several somebodies. I dunno about you, but I can only stomach so much combat. Part of the reason why I don't come on very often anymore.
So, you want us to be -more- busy? Heck man, I'm half tempted to say "Screw it" and put -everyone- on leave for a week or so. Go bother some other house faction. Powers know Bretonia could use some action, and Kusari -definately- needs someone besides the Nova PG. Heck, they need a real navy force more then anything! And Liberty... FFS guys, the day there isn't a handful of LPI, LSF, SA, or USS on at any given time will be a rare one indeed. You want a faction that doesn't have enough to do? Go look there.
Sorry, Kane, but I don't understand you. It's a military faction. And your strict laws and your reputation are guilty for that.
If you are in Military faction - expect a lot of engagements. Even the LPI - strictly RP oriented faction has more then enough PVP.
As for the SA and LSF.. Their problem seems to be opposite. I am of opinion that they are very bored when there's no one to shoot at.
So, they organize a huge attack, which I won't comment right now.
Also, creating characters before acceptance is a good way to go.
Actually, I don't know any faction that just proposed itself, waited for the answer, and then made characters.
Almost all of them created characters before acceptance.
Independents.. Well, if they are not Hessians, Unioners or Bundcuch.. Get out of Rheinland.
Corsairs don't belong there, Outcastst don't belong there and Dragons most certainly don't belong there.
I am still for this faction, and I think they can do it good.
*Two thumbs still up*
Edit :
Just to shorten my point a bit.
You can't bash this faction because RM has more then enough PVP.
They are not there to amuse RM, they are there for themselves. Sure, if they attack RM too much, then it's getting out of hand.
My personal opinion is that they should do only hit and run missions on RM. Like Lancer said, kill one and get away.
The rest of their time should be concentrated on Traders/Civilians and waiting for RM to engage them.
Also, you can't blame them for independent lol-ers and rofl-ers, really.
They made a very good story, and they are trying to get better in game. That is perfectly enough for a faction to be official.

What I'm interested in is where your seeing this, I would like to talk to the members that are doing something along these lines and get it set right.
I've recieved reports from some of my pilots of this matter and had I known this was going on I would of corrected it sooner, but I'm sorry for whats happened.
I don't understand one thing in your diplomacy.
Corsairs are Neutral, but both TBH and Benitez are unfriendly?
Also, I would suggest putting them to Neutral.
If they are unfriendly, and Outcasts friendly, you'r not really being neutral in their war.
And you should be neutral, actually - not interested.
Also, I am amazed that someone actually made a faction with only fighters and bombers in their list.
Now that is really nice, great thing. Especially for such a small faction.
Edit :
One more thing, sorry..
Quote:Bundschuh Political Goals:
Being reduced to pirates by the Reichstag has forced a deeper gorge between the once great house of Rheinland. Rheinland has been reduced to a fascist state with no mind for the people. Our main base is located in Frankfurt, but we constantly send patrols to the far reaches of Rheinland space. Our pride lies in a Rheinland heritage where we welcomed new comers with open arms. With the Chancellor showing such dark feelings to immigrants to our mighty industrial worlds, we took up arms after we witnessed how the armed forces acting like brutes, only cared for pure Rheinlanders. Our main goal is to overthrow the Chancellor and his leading cronies and establish a new Rheinland with friendly relations to all. We also will stand against those who support Rheinland fiercely. Rheinland traders will face death or a fine/cargo loss. No quarter is given to the military dogs that beg at the Chancellors feet for scraps.
It doesn't make sense to me.
If you want to overthrow them because they are brutes and hostile to everyone, why are you unfriendly with 3 other houses?
It says that allies and supporters of Rheinland are your enemies as well.. Okay.. But what with Rheinland enemies?
Why are they unfriendly?
