Yeah I guess, Sairs , OCs and especially Junkers lately took over the Piracy 8| hard to find indie Pirates around. Though for some reason, people log on OC to attack Houses, or Sairs log to attack another faction. Back in my time OCs and every faction that was allowed to pirate actually did 50% of their time pirating, but now what annoys me most is people just overuse the damn War between those factions. There aren't people around which stop Traders demanding money and then if a Police or Military appears gets into a fight, now they're just simply going all front attacks stupid as hell. Like seriously OCs and other pirate factions should stop this god damn "KRIEG KRIEG KRIEG" and actually do their Pirate Role.
You don't have to hunt for a House Enforcer when you see him log, this ooRP bullsh** is also something that's been abused. A House Enforcer logs, OH GO DIRECTLY TO THAT SPOT AND PRETEND LIKE YOU JUST SUDDENLY APPEARED OR FOR SOME REASON KNOW THAT HE IS THERE. Back in my time we used to hang around lanes and if a House Enforcer was actually using the lane, then, yes exactly THEN we moved in and went for its destruction. But now it's just whenever someone logs, you try to find him and directly engage. I liked the OCs back when they were just sitting either at the Jumpgates or Lanes with their Capital Ship (Could've been just a Gunboat) and waited for Traders. Then when a House Enforcer appeared they destroyed it, but they didn't went after the whole Military. Now it's just about win or loose, war or peace, nobody does the side jobs that the factions actually allow you to do, as example Piracy, Freelance, Escort. The ID shows you what exactly you can actually do else, but people mostly just prefer the "Can attack enemies". Is that what the IDs are all about? Why don't we simply use Affiliations then instead of ID? Think again. Maybe take your time ONCE and read your ID carefully and see what it's allowed to do and what you CAN do, so you wont be left with just one way of RP. Also maybe take your time if you're inside a faction to actually read the Factions Lore for once. I did that much in the past, but I have to admit lately because of all the warmongers around, haven't been doing this too often and this way you mostly make mistakes... who knows, you might be even destroying Disco like this without even noticing.
I have toi tell one thing, nowadays solo pirating is a bad idea most cases, there's plenty of silent traders armore as if they were some sort of battleship, don't get me wrong, investing in armor for the trader is the most logical an RP thing to increase the armor in order to arrive to safe haven before exploding. But that makes solo piratin in small ships able to still get piece from mouthless traders (i mean freighters) an extremely hard work. In fact, this morning we engaged 2 armored hegemons in O-11, we were a thor and a barghest and still one managed to arrive into solarius... and we were 2 of the most potent bombers in the game.... imagine a small freighter trying the same..... or just one of those.....

Not only that, also them feeding each other like no hell or the Transports have loads of Nanos, they can regen many times.
Its the rep sheet of a Pirate ID that deters people from using them. You can mount an ID from any of those factions like a Junker or OC and still manage to have a decent rep with most factions, aside from the enemies of the ID.
I always thought it was weird that back when ID's were oorp, you would fly a Pirate ID, yet somehow every ship and station just knew to be hostile to you before you ever visited or encountered them, aside from Zoners. I think the Pirate ID should have the same rep as a Freelancer restart. Let them make their own enemies. If a pirate attacks a player belonging to a corporations or other type of faction, they should report to the official faction and have their rep changed to hostile. That should be a more common place thing. I know what people would say about OP docking possibilities, but you could still have a neutral rep with quasi and lawful factions, and still be prohibited from docking at their bases.

IMO, this is what makes Pirate ID cool, generic, you're free from all regulations, you don't need to listen to anyone, It iis normal iRP for pirates to be hated and haunted by other piracy factions, like the cartels, a war if influence, they don:t need anyone to steal the spotlight of piracy.
