The two gunboats, Feuer and Wasser, pulled up to the shuttle. The Feuer opened a small link to them.
"Follow us please. We will be escorting you to the Ableben where you can wait for your captians' return." The two took up escort positions as more ships from the Rhinland Navy and Military closed in on the rouge gunship.

The flitter finaly slowed to a halt near the middle of the Chancellor's Citadel. Again, the old Sleeper Ship had been converted into the capital building. Strike craft flew past in formation, doing escort duty and also patrol. Dab and his body guards were taken inside, away from the howling, bitingly cold winds of New Berlin's upper atmosphere. Inside, black banners were hung from the mid-level entrance hall. Gleaming marble echoed their footsteps in the near-empty grand hall, an exact image of the one on the ground floor. The one down there would quite obviously be more busy, but the one up here was hardly used. Here, a few guards decked in the same gleaming combat gear of the honnor platoon scattered about the place. A few normal security guards stood at attention with them. The guards outnumbered the soldiers, but there was no doubt that the soldiers were far more dangerous.
The Commisar lead Dab and escort up to the very top level, accessable only by elevator. This was the Chancellor's office. The elevator slid up to a glass top, and through the layers a squad of Black Legionairs stood guard. Anyone trying to get up here without clearence, well... pulling out your own gun and shooting yourself in the head would achieve the same result in a much faster time-span.
As they entered the foyer Dab felt a sudden fuzzyness over his psychic abilities, as if a heavy layer of felt had been drawn across it. Telepathy was all but useless now, and there was no doubt that the same Feed-back Generators that he had encountered once before were also here again. The doors were finaly opened, and Dab was ushered into the Chancellor's office.
Krieg was seated at a small, spartanistic utility desk in front of the main one. Normaly a place where the Chancellor would make important decisions, aided by direct feed from the Senate and a slew of other advisors, it was now quite different. There was no doubt this was the sybolic head of Rhinland, but the effect was somewhat muted. White anti-dust sheets had been draped over everything save the carpet, the windows, and Krieg's desk. In front of it stood a chair, which Krieg motioned Dab to sit in.
"Now, Lord Captain, to what do I owe this visit?" Krieg put both his arms on the table and rested his chin on his clasped hands.

This is an emergancy broadcast of GNN! I'm Kane, your host and major reporter for the GNN!
Today, Liberty has once again been brought to the brink of destruction. With the war on Rhinland going full tilt, Liberty has been hard pressed to cover all it's bases, so when the unexpected happened it was with disasterous results. A temporary hyper gate was opened up in front of Manhatten today, and from it spewed countless Nomads! Although beleived to be a new invasion, the Nomads simply destroyed what they could. The entire council of Liberty has been killed by what once was the Chancellor of Rhinland. However, press conferences with the new Chancellor-pro-tempore have revealed that the Chancellor dissapeared after a Phantom attack. It is beleived by some that she was alive after the hit, and that Rhinland tried to save her by fusing Nomad regenerative DNA to her to heal her grevious wounds. These people say that they obviously failed to do so, and as such Rhinland is to blame for this current state of affairs. The majority of these people, if not all, are from Liberty.
The rest of the people polled about this say it is the work of the notorious terrorist group, The Phantoms. Known for thier vicious attacks and beleifes, this cult has taken humanity to court of all it's atrocities durring it's history, and the verdict was Guilty. And the punishment is Death by Fireing Squad.
While the Nomad attack did the bulk of the damage, the Phantom's have also claimed resoncibility for several bombing strikes with nuclear weapons, and the death of hundreds of thousands of people with an unknown nerve gas agent. LSF forces are trying to annalise this gas, but have met with failure. They say the gas dissolves into a harmless and untraceable from within a few hours.
In total, the estimated death toll of this attack alone is estimated to be in the millions. Actual numbers are rumored to be around eight hundred thousand, and still climing.
We will have more to report as the story developes.

Dab ignored his request to sit and remained standing. "I told you to keep the Chanceller near you, not allow her to leave. There was a reason for it."
"She is no longer your Chanceller. The Nomad DNA she now has inside of her is controlling her thoughts getting her to do everything it wants. But part of this is her own choice. You now have 2 choices left to you. Choice one. You help me capture her. Choice two.. You don't and sit here wondering how to fix this mess your in. And while your doing it I go out and just kill her.
Kireg raised an eyebrow.
"Really? Those are my two choises? And it is always we who are at fault, is it?"
Krieg looked like he could have spit.
"Sorry, I don't do sarcasm very well. So, i'm going to tell you what you take for granted... Unlike you, Lord Captain, I think there are more important things in life then your of self-rightousness. I joined the Rhinland Navy because I wanted to serve my nation and my Chancellor. I joined the Black Legion, knowing full well I could give my life up for a futile cause, but that cause was important to me. You, you just hide out in your own empire in the Boarder Worlds, trying desperatly to justify your own power. The Chancellor left of her own power, and wanted to leave. If I had tried to stop her, she would have torn us apart, make no mistake about it. And then she would have been gone, and Rhinland would be worse off. How much of a choise did you think I had!?"
He glared across at Dab, not even trying to mask his intense dislike.
"I was directed by this little thing called loyalty, and patriotism. You should look it up."
He leaned back in his chair and started pulling up more documents on the holo-screen in front of him.
"Whatever Kristy is doing, she is doing it for a reason. And it's NOT..." He spared another glare at Dab. "Because of the Nomad DNA that you continually say was infused with." He looked up.
"The infusions were NOT done in her tank, despite what you seem to think. Preliminary ones, yes, but nothing that would have radicly altered her this way. The transfusions of the Nomad regeneration gene were to be done at the secret base. In an environment where they could have been controled, contained, modified. BUT NO!"
He stood up abruptly, and fixed Dab with a glare that would have melted rock. "YOU had to come in and play some idiotic hero to 'save' her from becoming a Nomad! Despite the fact that our top scientists were waiting for her with the best equipment there is at the base we were going to! Despite the fact that from us 'poor humans' standpoint there was no other way to save the one person who had revived Rhinland after the Nomad Invasion left us compleatly broken and tumbling into Anarchy! Despite the fact that I would have shot her MYSELF if something like that were to happen!"
He drew a breath and visibly calmed himself. Then he spoke softly.
"You have no idea how painful it was to see her like that... Then to let her go... And now this." He sighed. "Try imagining someone reaching into your chest and taking your heart out. Then, while your still living and in pain, stomp on it, chew on it, burn it, then finaly throw it down a black hole. Now multiply that by any large number you care to name. It was worse."
He slumped back down into his chair. "Even if you managed to capture her, do you really think you could stop her? She opened a hyper gate and let a torrent of Nomads through, in the middle of Liberty, no less! I think she has even more power then that."
He leaned back once again, contemplating whatever legal beurocratic document was on his screen. "I still beleive there is some of our Chancellor in her. If she comes to Rhinland, then I seriously doubt that we could stop her. Untill she does, however, I have to run this empire. This conversation is over, Lord Captain, you may leave now."
Two Black Legionairs were called in and stood beside Dab. It was quite obvious that Kreig ment what he said, and the best option would be to leave now.

Dab: Are you done yet? So your choosing to sit here and hope that she comes back. Fine then. I will be going after her. And since you have choosen not to help in protectng your own citizens she will die when I find her.
"How dare you speak, raising his gun towards Dab, that way to -*-
His next word was cut off as Xizer slammed his hand into the man's throat like a knife. The second guard was not slow however. He had pulled his gun up and was pointing at Xizer before the other guard had even fallen to the floor. But the bodyguard replacing Keiran, Visas, yanked the gun out of the mans hand and slammed him into the face with it.
Dab: I assume there won't be anymore "incidents" while I take my leave.
He turned and walked out of the room.
[b]Dab:[/n] Pulling out a commlink Prepare the Ableben and contact the Defender, see if they have found her yet.
The bridge of the Isis was a buzz, information on fleet movements where coming in all over sirrus.
Britonias battles with Kusari, and the Asgards movements in Rheinland and Liberty, along with the speratic GNN reports from manhattan.
Order Officer: Mad'am Sephiroth, as you requested the first of the Choosen you brought back has finished treatments, and is awating your requests.
A very large man entered the room, he had to have been seven and a half feet tall and as wide as a car. His muscles ripped and buldged as he walked down the hall, he had a bandanna on his head, holding up solid black spiked hair, his eyes where pure white and he always grinned.
On his back hung an equally impressive sword. as wide and tall as he was, sirrated, and dyed black. he walked up to Kristy and knealed.
Kargaroth: Sister, im ready for your command.
She smiled then turned back around to look out in the stormy nebula, then turned back around with a gentle smile.
Sephiroth: I want you to find any potential threats to this operation, and kill them, these Asgard fools have a nack for sticking there nose's where they shouldn't be.
Kargaroth: I will do as you say, what of the Telepaths?
She grinned then staired off beyond her brother.
Sephiroth: I will be with you in your thoughts, if you run into trouble with either Dab or Korrd, then i Will make sure they stay out of the fight.
Kargaroth: And if they do interfere?
Sephiroth: Then they will be regreting it for a very long time, go we shouldn't waste any more time on trivial things good luck.............brother..

Dab walked out and suddenly found himself drawn short as every single weapon from the 12-man squad in the foyer was suddenly pointed at him. A wing of Strike Craft were hovering outside the window, their chaingun's visable from under their noses and rocket pods under their stubby wings. Krieg's voice came from the room in the back.
"Once again you let over-confidence become your downfall. If I wanted, you would never have made it out of this room alive, much less off this floor." He spared a withering glance at the guard who had spoken.
"However, we do not need a war right now, so you are free to go. But never forget that in RHINLAND, you are at RHINLAND's mercy."
He waved his hand, and the guards went back to standing at attention, faces hidden behind the respirators on their faces. "Now go. I have better things to do then waste time with someone who thinks themselfs to be a god." With that, the doors slid closed and Dab was left alone with 12 guards, his two bodyguards, and the Commisar who stood at the elevator, motioning him to follow once more.
In space, he saw four wings of Wraths and a wing of bombers outside, in addition to the normal ammount of traffic. As the shuttle departed, two bombers backed up and grappled thier tractor beams on the third.
Zerstoren's voice drifted over the comm. "Stop it, vill ya? Der Admiral said not to attack zem. So, I don't attack." Even through space and the armor of both ships, Dab could feel the hateful look that was intended in his direction.
"Despite the fact zat I think zey should all die..."
The two bombers started pulling him back with the tractor beams.
"All right, all right! I von't! Du can let go now!"
"We'll let go... AFTER the Ableben leaves."
Zerstoren fumed. "Don't even get trusted by my own wingmates... Ver is die love?"
"Oh, I got plenty! Your just a crazy person who should never have been given that bomber."
Zerstoren fumed some more.

Tac --She jumped to Colorado. Thats what the sensor logs say. Probes there confirms that. Korrd --Set course. I will be in my ready room. Helm --Yes sir.
Korrd retired to his ready room to meditate. Well, he wasnt going to meditate. He was going to sub space, to take a look arround.
Korrd --Computer, lock the door and disable al internal sensors.
A beep from the computer confirmed that.
He then transited to sub space. At the beggining, everything was normal. He could clearly see kristy's ship trail all the way through kusary, through sigmas, and finally to the unknown systems.
But then, he saw something. Something that wasnt there the last time he looked. He focused on his ship. He could see the defender's sub-space field, and something like a cocoon attached to his ship, disrupting the lines of the sub-space field of his ship. A sub-space cloaking field. There was a ship, a small fighter attached to the hull of his ship!!
Dammit. I was so focused on true space that i didnt see this thing comming. I should't have stayed in only one plane at a time for so long.
Korrd --Hello kid. I can see you now. Who are you and what do you want. Don't try to lie, that would be futile with me... Dont try to fight, or i'll open a black hole on your cockpit...

Dab: Exactly what we thought. He is going to sit here and pray.
Keiran: Cowards. Every time there is a galaxy problem we solve it, with little or no help from the houses. And then they blame us for "sticking our noses where they don't belong."
Korrd --Hello kid. I can see you now. Who are you and what do you want. Don't try to lie, that would be futile with me... Dont try to fight, or i'll open a black hole on your cockpit...
JonathanI was wondering when you'd notice, Korrd. Don't bother trying to open anything as you can probably discover I may be the only person that can stop the Chancellor. When we get a chance, we must talk...
