Which version of P ID was it?
Because if you were hunting lawful enforcers using P ID that was already a violation (if by hunting we mean seeking & destroying).
And why you do mention Argo's ID? Pirates can't be hired anyway.
I can say that I don't like all those P ID castrations as well, but it's still playable and better than FL ID in some complicated and arguable ways

Note that it was hiring inRP on forums, but in game it was cooperation between players with same affiliation - TheUnforgiven have (had?) Freelancer and Pirate ID fusion in form of SpecOps ID.
Old version of Pirate ID, in which there was no limitation on making cargo or credit demands, which lead into attacking authorities as they refused. Freelancer ID did not make sense for a terrorist who aim militaries (there was no BB at the time, which targeted both GRN and KNF) or same for picking non-generic ID, which would lead into breaking rules regarding allying generic ID with non-generic ID.
Not that I become more and more discouraged from any further RP (logical, well-backgrounded and sensible) with that character. We both got discouraged to the point, on which we dropped any further RP attempts.
I'm talking about the ID abuse. At first, this ID was changed because of us abusing it, right? And now, what makes you sure that we (pirates) won't start abusing it in the same way in Omeregas,Sigmas(which are really one of the best spots for piracy)?
And neither this will fix the abuse problem in house systems from the lawful side, right?
And let me guess. In a few days/weeks, this ID will be nerfed again, 'cause people will blame us (pirates) abusing Pirate ID in non-house systems.
Edit: And thank you, this was somehow a nice surprise, really.

Well, Tutashkhia, if you plan on abusing the ID again, let me know. We will simply nerf your existence on the server.
This doesn't change what might occur to pirates in House systems. If you catch a lawful in non house systems, feel free to make a demand and blast away, if he refuses to pay. That is the bone we threw you.

That's what was called an ID Abuse some weeks/months ago, and I was doing nothing different than that which caused the Pirate ID nerf, right?
If catching a lawful, making a demand and blasting away, if he refuses to pay isn't an ID Abuse, then I've never been an ID Abuser.
One question comes to my head then, why was the ID nerfed if it wasn't an abuse?
And if it isn't an abuse, then why don't you let us do the same in house systems too?
For me,this ID is better than before... but honestly there're some questions.
First, you abused the ID by having more than one ID per Faction. Second, you tried to bypass this by making two different tags for your Faction. Third, you abused your ID by allying with Kusari lawfuls. Fourth, you abused your ID by allying with ships that did not share the same affiliation as you. Fifth, you abused your ID by making demands of lawfuls, knowing full well they wouldn't pay, simply to be able to pvp them.
How is this new ID different?
It minimizes the chance that Pirates will go into House systems simply to pvp House Lawfuls. It gives Pirates more power in non House systems (their turf). For lawfuls, who stray into Pirate infested territory, they risk the chance of Pirate encounters and demands being placed upon them. In this case, the Admins have deemed this as not abusing the ID.
Why don't we allow you do the same in House systems?
Because the Pirate ID, in our view, is not meant to be used as an 'attack anyone', or Terrorist ID. It is designed to be used as a means to pirate traders. Before we nerfed the Pirate ID, your group drew the ire of both lawful and unlawful factions, due to, in part, your group's disregard for the ID rules and general OORP behavior. Now, with the current ID allowances, Pirates can have the flexibility of before, in non House systems, leaving the House systems a bit more open for lawful and unlawful factions to interact in.
