As the only regular BHG| player (as far as I see, no offence if there are others), I would like to see the BHG| return. I want to give FaZe a chance too.
Good points have been made here.
The critizism circles around a simple, fast pvp-faction style that Reavers, MM, Faze, Blaze have/had.
I agree that this is not enough for an official faction.
I am convinced that a merger can accomplish good roleplay. There are very experienced, very capable roleplayers in the ranks of BHG| and Faze and doing more than just hop in, pew, log out can easily be done - WHEN there is more to do.
Having an "official" mission, having diplomacy, having an economy to care for, having forum roleplay, also having a political development (with Core| restructuring), etc... etc would help a lot to trigger more than just "/l1, /l2, (optional /l3)" kind of bland fore-player-to-pews interaction that these small, rather random merc factions are doomed to for lack of roleplay resources (e.g. I can't roleplay much more than my individual char on Faze, because... we do not own a base, we do not do politics,...).
Would be interesting to see more folks flying around for the BHG. But yeah the whole mindset of a pvp faction can get bad at times. Frequently they become seen as unfun groups to be around, and for the most part I agree. When you see 3 or 4 tagged people log in with the only goal being shoot someone else down, yeah not fun. I just liked flying around and doing the actual rp stuff as my crippled Corsair... I wasn't a very good hunter, pvp wise, I probably got like 4 targets total since I joined years back.
As the current leader of Blaze I'm rather interested to know what our place would be in this. I think it would be pretty cool to act as a Liberty subdivision for BHG|.
Also, I'm deeply afflicted by the fact that some people think we're just out for blues (:
I like it. As a former member of the Faze, I think the BHG suits them.
Faze in fact did a great job in Liberty BB, but Liberty itself doesn't realy need mercs that fight a Faction taht is alraedy inactive enough (Rheinland). So the idea of just fight Unlawfuls suits better aswell as they would spread around and have a bigger ZOI that would rather give more interaction and activity on other systems outside of Liberty.
Liberty realy has enough "capwhores" that can deal with their unlawfuls 8|
It would be good to see the BHG back and kicking. And whatever Aerelm and others may say, BHG was always a "blue" gathering faction, since you can't collect bounties without them. There was a lot more about the faction, but that is the kind of thing that only comes with time spent playing in the faction and developing it. If you want to relaunch the BHG, I say go for it. There's a big hole where the BHG used to be.
