In my humble opinion, the badmins and also devs and mods have been doing a great job dealing with all you ridiculous people. Keep up the good work, folks, and don't pay attention to these griefers!
Again, you blame me for things not only I've not done, but also I was never charged for. Go and search the Sanctions Forums for my user and see for yourself.
So why I, as someone looking from the side, thinks something is wrong with the administration?
In fact, you can't even say "duh your friends were!" because the only one who was, is Igor, and I only actually got to know him after his ban was lifted and he was allowed to come back. Ever since he wasn't involved with the administration either.
So there, goes your point. You can also blame all you like Omicega for the creation of this post - I dare you to search the sanction forum after his name. You'll find nothing related to him.
I don't think the community should elect the admins. You're right about that, since it will only end with the 'let the biggest circlejerk win!' and will likely end up with a few very populist choices of people who aren't fitting to actually be an admin.
No, we shouldn't do that. But we, the community, should have the power to vote OUT an admin. Decide "Look, this guy? This guy isn't fitting to be an admin. We'll leave the choice to decide who exactly will switch him to you."

The fact that you think someone is a troll or a metagamer is not even a fact.
Firstly. Despite our best wishes and hopes players are unable to vote out anything good, implying this vote's result have a mandatory force of cause. So even if we wants a democracy here, open and transparent, it's still a very flawed idea. This just won't work.
Secondly. The transparency of admin processes, especially the drama involved sanctions, is a very, very flawed and overall bad idea. Like we don't have enough poopiestorms hitting the fan everyday. Now multiply that by 10 with everything being transparent. While it sounds like a good and healthy practice it just must stay behind the carpet.
So what is actually the problem is the lack of trust between players and admins\devs. Initially there is a threshold of trust between admins\devs and players which is getting a hit with every fuckup by either of admins or devs with action or inaction in some loud situations. All those threads simply indicates that this threshold not holding anymore in some cases as problems are piling up. This doesn't mean that old administration was more able to avoid making messes and hits on their threshold, no. This means they were able to improve their position in trust&love from community by doing not only certain messes but also doing goodies that everyone accepts as their achievement.
Obviously, now the messes are taking a lead in the race for people's love&hate.
But some situations are just putting a mistrust between the players and admins, especially if the matter is actively being hidden behind the scene even if it was already winded out to the scene in before - guys, everyone saw the fuckup already, there is no reason to try and hide it since it just rises more questions no matter the actual output in the end.
My own examples are:
1. Admin team witchhunt against certain members of community that ain't did anything wrong except being too active. Obviously some active community members (guess who I'm talking about) were driven away from the server because of constant flow of tears from their opponents. In that case the word 'trolling' was obviously overused and those very 'offended' persons began to cry again because of lack of activity later on.
2. Strange sanctions, no comments here - a lot, a LOT of examples are already in this thread - not to mention gazillion of those that ain't here.
3. Mistrust towards development team that I maintain basing on the huge pile of retarded changes through the many last versions and updates. I remember people were posting a lot about the bad effects of 'new stuff' in mod in before - but now, I guess, many of those people left or just gave up on any hopes from this dev team.
Anyway, there is no more threshold of trust and this builds up a certain level of depression here. It's not healthy. No idea how to fight it though. It's totally and completely on the shoulders of the devs and admins as there is no other options available on how to gain the reputation back.

Just a question Doria. i've commented, so either you are exaggerating a bit or perhaps you know something that i dont about me?
Why not appoint someone to collect concerns regarding the admin team, sort of like an arbitrator. An outside party with no actual power who reviews complaints in confidence, sorts out the geninue and compiles it into a solid case before handing to the admin team for action.

That's a good amount of accusations.
I'm confessing that I'm metagamer, powergamer, sanctioned player and known troll. But let the one, who's innocent throw first stone at me.
And I'm still thinking that both server and community benefit from my presence.
I guess we can count unbanning a cheater a big mistake, aswell (:
Other than that I only ever saw these "mistakes" happen from a third perspective. Personally, I had to literally try hard to get sanctioned in order to actually get sanctioned.
