The whole thing was to make the work of the Bundestag easier, but if you don't want it, it's your call.
There is one thing this issue shows appropriately, and that is you shouldn't force your roleplay on others, which was not my purpose, but ended up doing it anyway, so for that, I wish to apologize.
On the other hand, I expect the same the other way around; I will not have people outside the RM overrule decisions made by RM members, thus, from this day forward, we refuse to acknowledge the authority of the 'Bundestag' over our faction.
I will continue roleplaying Siegfried Heilner as the minister of defense and will continue using him in matters of defense (which concern the RM), what you do with other issues is your call.
This has nothing to do with roleplay. It´s purely ooRP. It´s about attitude between players.
Unfortunately obviously even when six from seven factions refuse this change, you want to force your way instead of thinking about you may have done something wrong. That´s exactly the attitude which caused our reaction.
If you want to exclude RM from Bundestag, that´s your decision which you have right to do, despite in my opinion it´s wrong. However either we find way how to communicate and "work" together, or admins will get involved sooner or later I assume. Unfortunately.
This was a joint decision made by the RMHC, not mine alone.
Clearly, we have a different perspective on playing our faction than you people, and we wish not to change because people outside our faction want us to.
If me and my friends like skateboarding, there can be six other people telling us skateboarding is stupid, we will continue skateboarding because we have fun that way. We choose the people whose advice we heed.
Everyone should play the game in a way that he or she has fun. You can continue playing the Bundestag in a way you like, we can continue playing the RM in a way we like. This is the most civil way without obstructing each other's game.
I'm sure you had the best intentions when you pushed this change through.
The problem was, you completely misread the situation.
If the majority has concerns or disagrees with a proposal, that means you discuss it before, not after it's pushed through. I think everybody that voted against this was more concerned with the way it was handled, rather than the actual change.
You were so confident this would stick, there was nothing to do except to directly show "No. This was actually not agreed upon".
That's how the Bundestag works. Obviously, you're not interested in a government system that works like that, and would rather have things as they were in 2011 or whatever.
Go ahead then, make your own Bundestag, with blackjack and hookers.
Meanwhile, we will stay here waiting for an RM representative that's interested in taking part in the government, or find another way to communicate with them if no such person exists.
This is not the first time the Bundestag doesn't have representatives from all factions, though it was due to lacking officialdom rather than refusal. But make no mistake, RM has no special position in the Bundestag, you have just as much of a say as the other leaders, or just as little if you choose not to take part.
You're welcome to post decisions made by the RM without us, but you will not be posting decisions "made by the Bundestag".
Alec that sounds fine, the problem will exist when a political decision is expected for a defence matter. If you exclude yourselves from the Rheinland Government that automatically means you can roleplay only RM characters, ie. military personnel.
However you still want to keep a hold on RheinGov by controlling the minister of defence but without being in the Rheingov itself, an oorp body composed of 6 official factions excluding RM.
Karst, you showed what the problem with the government exactly was:
You handled so thoroughly, so efficiently an issue of a personal matter with a counterproductive goal, that we haven't seen such efficiency from the Bundestag for I don't know.... forever? All Bundestag members were able to voice an opinion AGAINST a matter of increasing efficiency due to personal reasons as well, vetoing an idea that was made as an efficient change for the support of efficient decisions. This change was EXACTLY aimed to counter such things.
This situation clearly shows how due to personal reasons, the Bundestag is refusing to improve.
Go ahead and carry on with this method if you feel like it, we will not be a part of it, thank you for your offer.

I hope the rejection of the changes means that in the future the Bundestag will complete its tasks with the speed and reliability they decide on matters of personal interest, as Karst affectionately presented. Sadly, the same problem also existed back when it was founded and shows that the system might be better off with some changes. That it is necessary in the first place for some who are unfamiliar with these issues to call for change might be a sign that the Bundestag should reflect if the current system could need an overhaul, regardless of how many feelings will be hurt and how much fictional 'power' will be lost for individual persons in the process.
