Ladies, Gentlemen, assorted Aliens. It is my pleasure to (finally) bring to you the first of what I hope to be many newsletters.
I appologise that it has taken so long. Delays coming from RL slowed me, but it's not an excuse, and hopefully it's "onwards and upwards" from this point.
What I want, is to hear from you guys. YOU decide what features in my next newsletter (obviously I'll choose from the suggestions what to focus on). I also want to hear your thoughts on my ideas expressed here in this newsletter! Thank you everyone that takes the time to read through this. Perhaps you will feature in a newsletter some time soon!
Just because you've submitted pictures doesn't mean they're automatically going to be put in so please, stop complaining and go do something that is useful.

No No No. I submit some beautiful pictures they are not being used. So I now cease any further interest in submitting content for ModDB.

We're working on the new layout and write up for the main page at the moment, so that should be good to change within the week.
Don't forget to submit images/videos!
Out of interest, will these updates include making our page look more like the Freeworlds page? They have an extremely well executed full-page theme and colour scheme, while we have the default look. It makes their page look extremely professional and well done, while we look like amateurs who don't know what they're doing.
Having an attention grabbing, themed header along the lines of a Dunkirk/LibDread and Valor cinematically (not just a direct screenshot) duking it out over Leeds would be an excellent start. Following that up with a coherent colour scheme and maybe redesigned buttons in Freelancer's menu style (if ModDB will support that) would be absolutely amazing.
Between that and the new front page, Discovery would have a slick new look that should make us look far more appealing to casual visitors. I know for a fact from looking at mods for other games, if there's two mods that do broadly the same thing (i.e. the various Game of Thrones M&B mods), I'll invest more time investigating the better presented one because it appears their team has their act together.
