what.
also novaramming does require effort, you have to orientate yourself properly or else it won't collide properly, as well, it's harder to hit people who keep evading. I've had to deal with nova rammers multiple times, in duels and in group fights, it's easy to not die to novarammers, but it's not easy to not die to them in group fights since other people tend to be slow/unaware/it's a cluster.
First of all, defending yourself with CDs against novas is largely useless because they survive the radius damage of a CD and thus need to be directly targeted. To effectively destroy the nova you'd have to manually select and CD it, which is hugely impractical and near enough impossible if someone is attempting to nova you from anything less than, say, 150m.
Second, I would put it forward that those who think hitting a snub with novas is a cakewalk tend to be someone who is typically on the receiving end of it and haven't actually tried it much themselves, and simply don't know how to deal with a nova rammer. It's actually the one having the novas fired at them who has it easy, not the inverse.
Novas are just bringing us lolwutery, imho. Fly in circles and spam them at some BS from safe distance. Wtf skill is needed for that? Ofc The Disco Player would find a better way to use them and ruin someone's fun in a more effective way. Pick some new player from the crowd and insta him. How awsum. And we wonder why we have new players no more.
How about bombers could use bombs instead? Bombers are agile and dropping some dumb rolling antimatter supercharge would need some skill, for a change. Huge smart projectiles like Nova should be reserved for capital ships only, imho.
Secondly, having some defencive anti-fighter torpedo instead of Nova would make bombers more attractive to fly, even heavy ones. Ofc, nothing double. Double-things always kill the gameplay at the end, this way or another.

This.
It is absolutely silly and ruins many interesting fights of all you need to do is "sacrifice one bomber" and take out half the enemy team. It's cheap. It's stupid. It's not counterable.
If possible, it should not be possible.
It's one of these instances where "death does not matter" makes the game worse. No one would fly a loadout that takes you out yourself nearly 100 %. So much for "roleplay", realism, etc. And let's not even talk about the one-sided fun of this kind of "wait for the insta... wait... BOOOOM!!!!" fighting.

I would say: "double Novas" bring us lolwuttery.
Single Novas can be good for teamplay, as fighters have something to do. Use TCD and kill the Novas. It works, and is not easy at all. A real challenge for snub cover.

it's counterable
it's called
getting behind them and shooting them, or CD them before they/or as they EK so they don't have a "charging line"
it's like fighting with a bull, never stop and always keep evading. and the biggest issue is, people always cluster up in fights and never spread out. kinda their loss if they don't spread out.

Idea: Make bombers have 1 CD mount and 1 Heavy Torpedo mount, seperately. Nobody uses 2 CDs or 2 Snacs anyways, so this would solve the Double Nova problem once and for all without ruining the capability against capital ships.

And what do you plan to do with the 7 Heavy bombers which have 2 torp slots and 1 CD slot separately ?
