Character Her life formed her to be a somewhat careful and a little paranoid person. She tends to answer to jokes as if they were ment seriously and her humor developed to have a sarcastic side. Since she has been alone most of her life, her social skills are slightly lacking. She tends to try and hide her feelings and isn't open for new relations. In her work she is serious, yet should find herself superior to her enemies she tends to throw taunts at them in sarcastic manner.
Background Born on planet Manhattan to Sofie and Mike Cromwell, Zoe live quite a common live. Her father started out as an Ageira pilot and since had been receiving more resposibility and thus more money. Zoe received good education until the age of 10 when her parents divorced. As she lived with her mother on her transport now, she would receive some online lessons and the sporadic lessons on stations they stopped at. When she got older her mother explained the way trading and job acquirement worked. If it weren't for the police and navy check ups that seemed to focus on freelancers it would all have been nice.
On her 18th birthday, her father, who she only met rarely, messaged her and transfered her money he had saved on the day she left. With that she had enough to buy Rhino freighter to fly on her own. At first she flew runs with her mother but flew alone more and more often. It drew her out of the house systems and she eventually arrived in the Taus, where she started supplying the more remote stations including the freeports.
Getting to know the other side of the coin Zoe started to enjoy the beauty of the far regions. She would spend most of her money on travelling into deeper space if she didn't need it for her runs. When she returned from one of these runs to Freeport 10, she met the Outcast Kyle Alvera who she became friends with. They started to meet and Zoe learned to know that not everything the people in the houses tell you is correct. Kyle showed her that Outcasts could be friends, lovers and family all the same. When he took her down to Planet Malta, a planet she found most facinating, he went through all means to protect her from the omnipresent cardamine. It ran well for a time until Zoe couldn't keep herself back anymore. She stepped outside the protected villa and breathed in Malta's air. This would change her whole life. She left him embarassed she didn't listen to him and went back to Liberty, away from the Outcast territory she grew to love.
A career in terrorism She entered the house of Liberty with her old transport which ids had been changed so often that it was no wonder that the first patrol stopped her. They weren't too happy with it and when they found her cardamine, that her life depended on, there was no choice they would ever let her go. Cursing herself and the law enforcement for ever returning to this police controlled mess she was in luck that a very special group came to her aid. The Shaulanca fleet, under the lead of Manuel Smith jumped in and engaged her captors. Telling her to leave the area. She stayed and offered them her support. Not needing any transports, the old ship was abandoned and she was given an arrow. Given meaning, she was eager to aid the group. Little did she realise the big mistake she made until the fleet suddenly withdraw from Liberty, leaving her alone in a stolen ship. She tried to escape back to the Taus but was captured by the LPI on her way. Not having proof for any of her actions except flying a stolen ship, she was only imprisoned for three months. A time she thought to be her worst at the time.
Joining the Vanguard Out of prison, Zoe tried to get a normal job. Trying to start anew. Sadly none of the companies wanted to accept someone fresh out of prison. Through a contact she was messaged and offered a job. Transport something from A to B. Don't ask questions. She accepted, desperate to get a job. Little did she know she actually entered the recruitment for another group, classified as "terrorists" by the libertonian government. The Sirian Vanguard. When she met James Dean, the leader, she thought to have found the right place for herself. He pretended to love her and gave her everything she wanted back then. Zoe commited quite some crimes under the banner of the Vanguard until she was caught by Pete Levine in Rheinland. Pete didn't deliver her to the libertonian authorities but tried to understand her. They go to know each other well and she got better, seeing someone outside the Vanguard cared for her. When she then realised that Dean loving her was a lie she was able to see the Vanguard clearly.
Zoe was convinced to leave the Vanguard and Pete supported her. Only to get hunted by the loyal member John Iris, who even went so far to set a bounty of 50 million credits out on Pete and his wingman Tiffany Markley. Getting him to drop the bounty wasn't easy, but when they finally managed Zoe was nearly free of the Vanguard.
The last step was to start anew. Like she had wanted before. After following Pete's advise she told the libertonian authorities that she was a victim of the Gallic-Bretonian War. Setting her homeworld as Leeds and her name as Lyn Beaumont she was really someone new who could make a new name for herself.
Lyn Beaumont She started flying small runs for the Junkers(None realised she had her lastname from one of their bases), planning to save some money to do something real. When she was finally able to move out and get an appartment on a more lawful station, Pete vanished. The Navy listed him as MIA and she believed him to be in Bretonia at the time. Lyn threw away her plans to get back to trading runs and enlisted in the Bounty Hunters Guild. In times between missions she would spent time and money on finding Pete. Her attempts ceased over the months until she eventually gave up. All that time she never took any of the big bounties nor did she attack any convoy or ship flying under the maltesian flag. Through the years, even though she kept a low profile, the smuggling part of the area started to know her. Acquiring cardamine became a harder task every day.
