No, Wesker. It's not about making ships better because of bad skill. It's about making nerfs on basis on what best players can do - and that's not a good way to balance things. I advise you to read carefully what I wrote, then reply, because you got it all wrong. "Peasants" aren't players with lack of any skills. I referred to players with average skills, which do not spend entire days in Conn.

BBs pushed to their limits remain the same and in order to counter specific ships with vets inside requires different build which is not possible to be changed during combat. Meanwhile - full primary gunboats pushed to the limit - kill all and even can solo BB. That is the issue - simple as it is.
They can yea, but if you log a battleship to fight a gunboat that's kinda your fault to begin with, like if I saw a hellhound in conn I would bring a battleship I'd bring a gunboat.
It takes a LONG time for a single prims gb to drop a bs.
More importantly with 3 bombers and 2 gbs riding it it's more difficult than you think.
Now,thats just great.! I have only flew gunbouts with Razors and Cannons,cuz I hated the fact every single one people who uses Gb is using TS and basis. I had chance against snubs and capital ships using that kind of a turet setup,but I dont think full basis could take down a battleship.

So we should leave the geb(the most broken and overpowered cap in this mod) as it is since pvpers in a geb can't kill a mako? We should make Solaris gbs capable of taking down over 10 vhfs because a gb pilot can't kill 3? We should nerf the thresher even more since an average Murmillo can't kill it?
We should nerf snubs movement speed since an average gb pilot can't catch a VHF with his gb?

I spend most of my time out of conn lol.
The better pvpers are ones who fight ooc and adapt to situations that are neglected within conn like ganks and battleships shooting you.
That was not my point Wesker, that "I/anyone" should log in BB to fight GB...lol, never done it, never will. I was pointing that it is all about loadout, BB loadouts are multiple now and not all of them work well at all situations...while in comparison the gunboat loadouts are very few (that are efficient) but with "full primary" you can deal enough in anysituation without to bother changing weapons or depend on them. That is the issue.
(Of course no BB should fly alone and allow GB to attack it, like you stated GB needs some support (bomber/snub) just like the BB would need such escort, but yet again - the GB would have far more time and chance to participate in the battle than the BB, because BB is easy big target and can't bite unless you fight unskilled players. If you are fighting skilled players then things are far more challenging and the outcome will be determined by the "loadout + skill" while the GB is all about skill and full primary)
Thats why GB must not be allowed to go full primary cuz overall its best setup for any situation. The current heavy slots are giving diversity, while also remove the full primary possibility. Now what they need is "light" weapons for solaris instead to mount them on "heavy". Then GB wont be able to solo BB unless ready to fight it 30-40min.

I wouldn't really mind that the issue is we have no prims diversity so catagorizing Solaris as light weapons would be wierd since they deal more dps than full prims.
Actually fallenknight 1 thing, prims don't handle every situation enough, prims aren't very efficient against bombers due to the lack of refire rate (which is fine) since if you mount prims you should be preparing more for gb vs gb combat with minor support against snubs.
My opinion can be summed with this:
- Solaris should have little range, little damage but very high refire rate (dps) - to slap away snubs going close. Useless vs GB unless going close (similar to cerberus are now with BB combat) So no matter their DPS, they wont be efficient vs GB. Also to use some good ammout of energy.
- Primaries to remain anti gb guns, have longer range, good efficiency but to be few.
- Heavies to be "supportive" gear - just like the BB setups are now. Player to choose either pulse/razor or missle - all of which are situational weapons and cant determine the outcome nor have such a heavy impact. Overall to be "weapon of choice" for the pilot.
