Why not to introduce FLHook that simply censor words by default? (It finds out restricted words and pops up message anyway.)

You get warned, and if you say a swear word three times, you get kicked.

I mentioned it in brackets. I was actually thinking about tool that simply replace words with something else, not being a silly punitive tool. It's basically what Hidamari proposed.

the swear filter could AT LEAST replace all curse words with random assortments of @&%$£!*# symbols, instead of just deleting the entire sentence, that is just infuriating.

a) Please don't remove swearfilter, I'm using it instead of F1
b) You can easily insult someone without swearing, it just requires a bit of imagination.

Oh. That makes a lot more sense when you explain it xd.

It's nice to use as a quick kick when you need to rejoin because of lag while in space or something, allowing the delay to be shortened, (even if that's mildly abusing it)

I haven't noticed this post before, so I will reply: sure, it works with people like Blood Dragons, Lane Hackers or Farmers Alliance. The problem arises with common motley, thugs and low-life gangsters, such as Mollys, Rogues, Maquis or Xenos. They aren't nice people with whom you'd like to have a tea party. They are pure-blood criminals, which are more likely to board the ship, abuse every woman (or man) on board, then flush them out into space - for fun. I don't think such people would even restrain themselves from cussing.

Not every pirate inRP needs to be a low-brow mongrel who is only capable of saying "$@&! You! @&&;% this! #@&$ that!" Maybe, JUST maybe, we can flex our RP minds a little more to where we can do better. For some of us, it's bad enough that we have to hear this from folks day in and day out. I don't find it so terrible to have one place where we can still keep it somewhat clean.
