Agatha saw her gaze with a bit of curiousity as she took another sip from her glass, slowly rubbing her thumb along its brim. "Well then. Taking what I do know from memory the Order has been working deeply alongside the Bundies for quite some time. And with the showing of a slowdown in the Liberty war with Rheinland, last I checked the Bundschuh were being supplied with munitions mostly into Northern Rheinland where they operate. A good quanitity of small arms and some larger munitions are shipped about there each week, From there I've heard they're shipped to their base in Frankfurt and Luneburg. After that I have no idea. Looking down at her glass, she couldn't help but let out a slight laugh remembering as much as she could on operations she knew about. "Taking into consideration that the Bundies are siding along with Liberty, would make sense to supply them considering the Order's stance on Liberty in general. Other then that. We never took care of the Unioner or LWB movement, but the Red Hessians are a different matter. We worked alongside them on several occasions despite their ties to the Coalition. We've gone in with them on our attack in Omega 55 and 58.
But that turned out to be a damned goose chase when we entered Omega 58. Nothing there anymore. We though it wise for a preemptive assault with a mixed task force and boy what a waste of time that was. Just smoke and echos left. The radiation though was a bit much for our snub pilots. Good thing we had a pair of larger carrier vessels to house them in. What a waste of time.. Knowing first-hand on how she was affected from the exposure, her hand pressed upon her stomach with a sigh before clentching it into a fist.
"I was one of the first to enter the system. Belted by radiation to a degree that when we reported it, I and several others docked immediately for any radiation poisoning... I might not be able to ever have children cause of the order to go first... But not like many could care with a face like mine huh?.."
"I'm not surprised the Order treats it's own pilots with such ruthless cruelty. Tenacity is certainly something that comes to mind when describing the Order - a feature that has added to their notoriety throughout the Houses. You shouldn't have wasted your time risking the radiation for their mad desires".
"There's actually something else important I would like to ask you, Agatha. A matter that is quite concerning to us given our ties to certain parties that we are very interested in. The vessel that we discovered you and your crew on: the Liberty Lost - an Atlantis Carrier, all the way down here in the Omicrons. How did you end up commanding such a vessel? Does Liberty even know of it's existence?" Hawken takes the datapad and shows it to Agatha, an image of the Liberty Lost appears on it's screen.
The look on Agatha's face changed a bit to surprise as she crossed one of her legs over the other at the appearance of her flagship. Brushing the side of her hair that covered her eyepatch, she took a long breath in and let it out. "A few months after I had joined into the ranks of the 141st Task Force, I had worked over a plan with my commander Enrico Davids over forcibly... acquiring.. one of the older Atlantis Class Carriers from Alaska that were being decommissioned for the newer models. We took it upon ourselves to help relieve some of their work. The operation was a simple snatch and grab. Origionally we picked out one that was the best intact but the Liberty Lost, originally named the LNS-Wrath.of.Liberty, was the best we could find in near full condition. After two days of observation of the area, we moved in with a small crew and a repurposed Hercules tug. While a small diverson was created. our tug and several members broke the restraining clamps holding it in dock and pulled her right out. She was a mess inside as most of the components and all the weaponry were removed, basically an empty shell of what it once was. While she was missing her port side deck, we were able to force jumpstart most of the critical systems, life support, basic lighting, etcetera etcetera and repurposed her as a long term maintence and assault post for several of our fighter wings. We tried our damnedest to get weaponry to work onboard but all we could manage was some of our lighter defensive arrays seeing that most of the ports for heavier weaponry were utterly scrapped out."
She took a brief moment of pause as she looked down at her glass, skimming the top of it for several seconds. "It was probably one of my greatest achievements within the 141st. Anything that kept me out of Golanski's sight no one in the command structure had issues with. Hell if he was able to repurose a fully working Nephilim, there wouldn't be an issue with us using a floating hulk as an bearth of operations. We had at one point contacted several members within the Lane Hacker organization for assistance in structural details and schematics of the old Atlantis Class, we couldn't get much from it but we were able to rebuild all four launch bays cause of their help." As Agatha took a bit more to drink, she thought a lil bit more in detail about the L.L. "She was barely able to move out of her dock when the... attack in Minor happened. I was hoping her first tour would be a grand one in view of Toledo but, it never took place. Instead my first view of her was after I had gotten out of a recovery ward on Freeport 11 with family of mine. After that.. The Liberty Lost was pretty much my home along with a good chunk of other personnel as we worked on the hulk to get her engines in near full working order. Then she was put into her rounds and the rest is history. I do sometimes miss the Bane though..."
"So to Liberty's knowledge, such a vessel actually is Lost then" she chuckles. ""Ahem. The vessel has quite the history indeed. That 'Bane' thing you mentioned though, what is it?"
Her tone suddenly becomes harsh and cold. ""And also regarding your vessel, I doubt Liberty will miss it as it has vanished from their radars. As such, we will be forcibly taking it under our control. Your crew will be sent to the same miserable prison you are sent to, and we will give the Liberty Lost new life. If you wish to spend your time in prison with all of your limbs intact, I suggest you immediately start giving us ship data, schematics as well as instructions as to how we can operate it." she smirks.
If it requires any repairs, I expect you to tell us. AP Manufacturing can easily get it back up and running again if that is the case. Or perhaps make it even stronger than it is now".
A joined laugh filled Agatha's lungs as the atmosphere of the room seemed to lighten for a moment with the slight joke of Paladin Hawken, continuing on to answer her question. "The OCV-Bane of the Wolf is... scuse me... was my first command of a capital asset, even if it was an older variant of the Geb class. I'm more than aware that the Core have seen their fair of them. After Toledo she was deemed unfit for service and was to be scrapped."
Agatha's smile slowly began to fade into a heavy twinge of anger, lowering her head enough to cover the sight of her face. Suddenly she stepped up from her chair, tightening her fists and straining the chains of her cuffs outward as she began to speak in an heated tone, speaking through her teeth as her face was still hidden. "I came to leave the Order for its actions of hate against myself and those who supported me... And now I'm faced with such a threat similar to when I first was recovered...Little did I think that I would be threatened with dismemberment twice in one lifetime.. The Liberty Lost is MINE and my crews HOME.... We are its life blood." She began to slowly raise her head, baring her teeth towards Hawken as she clentched her fists tighter, enough to cut into her skin. "I'll make you a counter offer... We, my crew and I, will work and captain the Liberty Lost as our prison. Work alongside the Core til our death or freedom is gained, and not fret. But I swear to you Paladin... Should I die like you stated by the Core's hands, you will have to deal with the rest of my family. And so help me, living in hell will be like Baden Baden compared to what one of them can do to the Core alone... AS. A. START!
Her breathing fell hard and shallow as she sunk back into her chair, lowering her head enough to glare back at Hawken with her single eye through several locks of red. Unmoving from the chair she sat upon, her chest heavied slightly as the riveting pulse of her heart pounded hard, feeling her hands retch with pain as several drops of crimson hit the floor panels and her boots below.
"You? Join The Core? With your crew?" Hawken leans her head back in laughter. "What can a lowly ex-Order maggot such as yourself offer The Core?" she starts to project her voice at Agatha "Do you realise the level of the people we employ? And why should we give someone like you the rank of Luminary so that you may continue flying that Carrier?".
"This organization is a world apart from The Order. I don't even think you fully know what you're getting into." Nova reaches into her pocket and pulls out a long silver knife. She flicks a switch on the handle and it suddenly illuminates with an electric glow. "We've learned all that we need to you from you. I think I'll just take initiative and finish you here". She begins to slowly walk towards Agatha...
The deep clenching of her fists and teeth bore notice as she strained her hands outward in her cuffs, shooting out of her chair and til her leg cuffs caught her from the chair, knowing she had no choice but to speak what she was afraid to."You kill me and the entire Bretonian Armed Forces will want your head!.. You want an important name?!.. I'll give you one alright!." She yanked in her cuffs hard and pointed Hawken. "Admiral Evyn Wildcat... Is my god damned sister!.. Now BACK OFF!"
Her breathing was heavy was she strained herself, knowing she couldn't take back what she had just said. "Not even the friggin Order Overwatch knows about that. Or they would've acted differently ages ago. If I die by the Core's hands I can guarantee you that you'd loose one helluva area of business if she'd find out, and would want those responsible as well. I'm worth far more alive and kicking than dead..."
Daniels, escorted by Price and Scarlet, was walking from the hangar towards the holding cells on Durban station.
This was one of the last things on his to-do list, yet he felt it's also one of the most important ones. A person was rotting in a cell and no one was doing anything about it. A person who held valuable intel against the order.
Over the years, Daniels had executed many order prisoners, yet he also spared some of them. In fact, one of the defectors, Jessica Scarlet, was walking right behind him, tasked with his own safety.
As the trio entered the holding area, the Guildmaster signaled the guards to open Agatha's cell. The heavy metal door was surprisingly silent but also quite slow.
Daniels straightened his suit while waiting. It was a rather casual suit, white shirt, top buttons undone, no tie.
The team entered the cell and the door sealed behind them. It was a normal cell, slightly darker than regular living quarters. Jack was wondering how the prisoner would react. After all, more than six months had passed without an update on her situation. And if someone knew what it was like to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with no hope, that was him.
He leaned on the wall, lit a cigarette and after a few deep inhales and exhales, he looked at the woman.
Silence filled the room for several moments as the woman stirred from the corner, looking up at her new guests with disdain as she twisted her head sharply from side to side, letting her joint crack and pop loudly as she reset her pose on the floor. "Well... I'm not dead.. Which means you all know I'm worth far more alive" Slowly rolling her shoulders about, her arms stretched out and let her nails drag across the sheeting, leaving a length of scratches to add to the mass of others that were left as well. "That and the food is terrible but I can't argue..
Looking over at the other two beside her guest she gave a bit of a snuff at, lifting her hand to point at the both of them. Alright.. I know that you're not Hawken or Nodtviet.. So I'm guessing its going to be some more questions so spill it.." Without missing a beat she began to roll over onto the flooring, and began to pull her torso back, creating a half moon pose as she continued to stretch herself out more. "More than likely you have my file and read what I said to Hawken... So go for it.."
Daniels was surprised by what he was seeing. Was it the abnormal "being" in front of him? Was it the fact she was as relaxed, as if she had taken a ten minute nap?
Either way, he didn't show one bit of that particular emotion on his face.
Instead, he took the pack of cigarettes from his inside pocket and offered one to the prisoner.
Everyone needs something indeed. And what I need the most at this point is manpower.
Of course, I do not expect you, nor trust you enough to just give a weapon of mass destruction and let you walk. No, things don't work that way. However...
The man switched his gaze towards Scarlet for a few moments
...however, I am aware how useful ex-order operatives can be. Both to the Core and to your family, naturally
Daniels tucked the cigarette pack back in his pocket and smiled at Agatha. He didn't wait for an answer and continued his monologue:
Yes, yes, they are alive and well. And so is the "Liberty Lost".
So here's the deal. Prove to me that I can trust you. Show my why exactly I should do that...and I might just let you -work- for the Core. A freedom, of some sorts, still much better than this god forsaken cell. But here's the catch, once you commit, there's no way back. The only way out is death, or worse.
So, do you have what it takes...
Jack exhaled all the smoke he had earlier inhaled and stared down the woman.
