Name: Dr. Lara Grey Affiliation: The Seraphims Topic: Order transmission What do you have to say?: I've seen what happened in Omicron-74, the Nomad fleet arrived and started attacking our University, I was afraid I must admit. We clearly need protection, our work is in danger. The Order offered us help and I suggest we accept it under one condition which Dr. Prof. Alessa Samson suggested and that would be mutual "secret" cooperation between the Consesus and The Order. Only if we keep our relations in secret we will be able to continue the cooperation. If something goes wrong and the secret is no longer a secret we could be in trouble.
Name: Dr. Wes Valdon Affiliation: Outer Rim University Topic: Finances What do you have to say?: I have another issue to bring forward. As everyone of us know, currently the whole project and the foundations are privately financed from ourselves. The registration and student fees and also donations are still something in distant time. The construction of the Outer Rim University drains our finances rapidly. We need something to balance our finance loss. Therefore, I suggest we request a reseller license from Freeport 11 in Omicron Delta for Iridium, to request using some of our rented area on Corinth Station to store and exchange the commodity. Topic: Proposal from the Core
Probably another important case is, I have received a transmission from the leader of the Core. Read here. I wish to hear the opinion upon this from another Voice first, before I will attempt for an opinion.
Name: Dankien Moebus Affiliation: The Seraphim Topic: Nomads and infected What do you have to say?: I would like we keep on debating about nomads. We need at least to define what we are going to do the next time they attack us. And also what we do when we encounter them in space. Making nomads suspicious in our diplomacy is not clear enough to me. If we want a clear behavior from our members we need to establish clear rules.
I understand it was a real mess the last time nomads attacked us in omicron-74 but I don't know exactly what happened since I was not present. It would be good if someone made a clear report of these 2 attacks so we can improve our response the next time. We really need to be better organized.
Moreover, I would like we talk about contamination by nomad. I would like to know in what conditions it might happen and what we can do to prevent it. Maybe this will require research, maybe we can benefit from the experience accumulated by the Order. Topic: Economy What do you have to say?: To move on that topic, I propose we define business plans. Dr. Wes Valdon would prepare one for Freeport 11, I would write one for GMG. Let's say these business plans would be ready for next Monday. Then we present them to the Consensus and validate them before submitting them to the corresponding parties. Not also that our collaboration with IMG should generate some credits. Topic: The Core What do you have to say?: Personally I don't trust them. They are violent, and my feeling is that they want to establish a new House government in the omicrons. I am still unsure if we should ignore the Core or reply to their message. Ignoring them could be badly interpreted, so I would be slightly in favor of a cordial answer: basically saying thank you for your message but not proposing any form of cooperation. Topic: Projects What do you have to say?: Now that the basis of the Consensus is set up we need to develop our own projects. I have actually two things in mind: bring support to the civilian of Bretonia that are affected by the war against Gallia and start some archeological project on Planet Pygar. An underground alien city has been found over there. It is still largely unexplored, it is pretty close to our location and there are unknown technologies to study.
Name: Alex Mush Affiliation: The Seraphims Topic: Nomads and infected What do you have to say?:
I agree that we need some rules to handle contacts with Nomads. Since we don't have enough information about their intentions, the rules should be general and simple. Never open on Nomads first. Never insult an alien in a conversation. It would be nice to know what exactly insults them, but still. Don't break the contact first would also be a good rule to me. And mantain your distance. Don't come closer that 2-3K, if possible.
If they are at the University, even if they shoot it, firing back should be a last resort. I would say, not before the shield is down anyways. Shame on me, in the first encounter, when I saw that huge... creature.. firing at the base, I didn't hold in. That should not happen again.
As for the infected. They are in between the two worlds. Not Nomads, not humans. That makes them in a way even more dangerous than aliens themselves. But I feel sorry for them. That's not their choice. Most of the time, as I understand, they were made that way against their will. I'd treat it as what it in fact is: a disease. An infestation.
Infested persons must be contained, isolated and cured. That's what I've been taught. That's what I learned. So we should work to find a cure. And make sure that those who afflicted don't hurt themselves and others in the mean time. So I propose to avoid contact with humans under the Nomad influence. Warn others about them to prevent accidental contacts and confrontations. If you see Nomad-infected human - raise an alarm and start evacuation. That's my proposal. Topic: The Core What do you have to say?:
I'm not closely familiar with the agenda of the Core. We can't afford conflict with them. I suggest we should welcome their will to support the security in O-74 in the most polite terms. Nothing beyond that, until they make more specific demands.
Name: Jason Kelly Affiliation: The Seraphim Topic: Nomads and the Infected What do you have to say?: I'm afraid my attitude on the aliens is a little less... academic. I understand the need to study these lifeforms, but their behavior thus far hasn't given me much confidence in their ability to communicate reasonably. I believe peaceful contact should be sought outside Omicron-74. If they enter our system, I doubt their intentions are friendly and they should be dealt with accordingly.
As for the infected - I agree, we should view their condition as a disease. However, it is a disease that I don't think is worth trifling with. Infestation was the cause of the Nomad War. That's not something I'd like to play with, and we have potentially dozens of students to think of when we're dealing with them. We cannot think of the faculty and their own research when considering these things -- we have to consider the lives of the young men and women for whom the University is responsible.
Topic: Finances/Economy What do you have to say?: I support Dr. Valdon's motion of acquiring an Iridium resale license from the administrator of Freeport 11, something which given my (albeit humble) position on the station I'd be happy to help with if necessary. However, it may be worth consulting our peers in OSI to gather market data and negotiate with the appropriate parties in order to establish a proper trade route. Controlling commodities is great, but making them a link in the chain is where the money is.
Topic: The Core What do you have to say?: I'm not impressed with their offer. As far as I'm concerned, the Core has only served to destabilize a region which had, prior to their arrival, existed in equilibrium. The Corsairs and the Order once stood together, and the Order counted the Zoners as friends. But once heavy Guild activity in the region picked up, we all started keeping after our own assets. I saw their battlegroups tear the Order evacuation fleets apart on their exodus from Toledo.
They'd tell us that our neighbors are our enemies, but the truth is that they've turned a sector at peace (with the exception of Nomad attack) into a battlefield that puts Leeds to shame. We came here to escape oppressive House law, not vassalize ourselves to an aggressively expanding militaristic regime.
Name: Dankien Moebus Affiliation: The Seraphim Topic: Nomads and infected What do you have to say?: I agree with a peaceful and defensive approach. We can try to remain quiet and to not provoke them. We can try to not open fire first but only in case of self defense when our shields are down. Also keeping distance seems a good idea.
Regarding the infected, I agree we should save them if we can. However, actually we are pretty ignorant about the contamination process. I think we need to gather more information to detect and if possible cure nomad contamination. Also, we must be careful to become contaminated. I propose we have a seminar with the Order on these topics. Topic: Economy What do you have to say?: Good idea to connect with OSI to find buyers for iridium, this could make the operation more profitable indeed. On my side, I've still have to prepare the H-fuel resale plan for GMG. Also, I was seeing the Core will renew its base in omicron-delta (cf. this transmission). This could also be a way to generate some credits. Note that I am not a supporter of the Core but contribute to renew their station seems harmless to me. Topic: The Core What do you have to say?: I could post an official message from the Seraphim welcoming their intention to protect zoners and ask what they expect in exchange. I would also take the opportunity to present ourselves as a peaceful group that achieve humanitarian missions in Sirius. Nevertheless, I agree their true intention are unclear and their belligerent and manipulative tone is not appropriate.
Name: Dr. Prof. Eli Starkweather Affiliation: Outer Rim University Topic: Nomads and infected What do you have to say?: I am certain, anyone of us has the responsibility being chary about approaching the Nomads. I am not an expert in this, but I suppose it would be the best trying to learn more about them. If we want to advance and care, understanding is the only solution. Meanwhile, I agree, in front of certain destruction or infection, defending stays the last option for the sake of preventing a negative outcome. Topic: The Core What do you have to say?: I have already requested Wes to send a response to the Core and he talks straight forward again. Core can't be trusted, but we shouldn't make them suspicious as well. Please Wes, use a polite note in case of another response. Topic: Economy What do you have to say?: Having an access to the Helium-3 business might be very useful added to reselling Iridium and both could help financing projects for our very goal. I support this very much. In regards of Wes answer to the Core, I concur Dankiens opinion on Cores proposal of updating the Yaren Base. It might be useful to get an idea about their true motives probably.

Of course I will still be careful with hybrid. Topic: Collaboration with Med Force Enterprises What do you have to say?: As mentioned, I've met Doc Holliday and we had a long discussion about our groups. The journey was really pleasant, it truly confirms Doc Holliday is a really nice person. Actually, I am pleased to say that he accepted to collaborate with us: with the Seraphim and the University. So it will clearly enhance our activity. Topic: Economy What do you have to say?: I am still preparing the deal with GMG. I hope to find time soon to complete it. Topic: The Core What do you have to say?: I don't really trust them. Recently the Core let us know they could host refugees. However, according to the Order, the Core promote harsh labor conditions so I would not suggest we relocate refugees in Core bases before further investigation.

I just wrapped up a great meeting at my um......get-a-way....with Dankien Moebus. I've been in seclusion for a bit now, trying to get my life in order but that's a whole different story.
Med Force Enterprises is doing well albeit staying under the radar. Medical work and research as well as science. If anyone here is interested in working on certain projects, just contact me on it.
Topic: The Core
I know little about them. All I know is that they are bounty hunters and I am very weary of them. They fight for money. Where's the honor in that? More than once I've seen them hanging in a NFZ, claiming to "be protecting Zoners." I won't make trouble for them but I won't be too quick to favor them. They bear watching.
Topic: Nomads
I've spent a great deal of time researching them. I've learned much but still have much to learn. I don't reveal what I have learned publicly and even personally due to the suspicions and misconceptions of many and the simple fact that loose lips do indeed sink ships. People fear that which they don't fully understand. *cough, cough, The Order, cough, hack*
I will say this. I take a cautious but non-offensive approach.
Topic: The Order
I trust them about as much as I do the Core. Part of it is very personal and while they aren't about money, I feel about them as I do the Core.

They have shown now what they are truly like, and this is something even i didnt predict. I have seen them commit many atrocities during my time with them, but i had never imagined this. I have been fighting them for the past days, and I must say that the combined effort from Zoners and their allies from all across Sirius has paid off. I propose that we instate somekind of Zoner security council aswell, related to any security breaches or other assaults upon the Zoner community. This way we might be more prepared should any event like this ever occur again. Perhaps a group of ships that can relocate swiftly to a Freeport if a conflict arises.

This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
