A few weeks after the foundation of the Zoners Consensus, while the Outer Rim University and the Seraphim were starting their projects, it appeared these two organizations had pretty different operational modes and that situation was slowly leading to a global loss in efficiency. Therefore, it was commonly decided to split these two Consensus sub-divisions into two independent organizations, in order to improve their mutual effectiveness.
The Seraphim are a group of involved and motivated zoners dedicated to improve the welfare of human beings across Sirius regardless of their affiliation, origin, history or religion. Considering the magnitude of this goal, priorities in actions are given to situations where the lack of welfare is obvious and important. Nevertheless, a large variety of projects can be set-up by the Seraphim.
Some projects :
• Provide food for the hungry
• Evacuate refugees affected by war or disaster
• Provide essential consumer supplies to people in need
• Investigate about slavery, forced labor and other human rights threats
• Monitor nomad activity
• Evaluate, report and mitigate environmental risks and pollutions
• Support charitable organizations
• Preserve cultural heritages
• Promote zoner way of life and philosophy
Considering the limited resources and expertises of the Seraphim, achievement of these humanitarian actions is likely to involve other zoner parties such as Medical Force One, or even non-zoner factions such as Synth Food or Cryer. The Seraphim might act on their own, be assisted by partners, cooperate with other groups, coordinate actions or just report actions if they are entirely accomplished by another group.
The Seraphim also believe in the transition to a better society based on wealth sharing, equity, social justice, prosperity, and sustainability. For that reason, they work closely with the Outer Rim University that has the mandate to develop the knowledge required to built and lead the path to this desirable society.

The headquarter of the Seraphim is located in Freeport 9. The Members are allowed to go anywhere they need to fulfill a mission that has been validated by the Seraphim.
Allied: The Outer Rim University, Med Force Enterprises Cordial: OSI, IRG, IMG, The Order, Bundschuh Suspicious: The Core, Nomad and Wild
The Seraphim has no official leader, the decisions are made by agreement of the members and any member in charge of a project is allowed to manage it on his way as long as he follows the Seraphim principles. However, Dankien Moebus, as a regular member, will also be the guardian of the Seraphim. The role of the guardian is to ensure the faction will not deviate from its primary goal, will act consistently with its values and will always apply the consensus protocol to make decisions. If judged necessary or in a critical situation, the guardian has the right to impose his will to safeguard the fundamental principles of the Seraphim. The guardian decisions overcome any other consensus or vote of the members. It is desired and expected the guardian will never have to intervene.
Born in Liberty, he was an industrial engineer before he left Liberty to reach the edge worlds. In Freeport 9 he met and then joined the Zoner Trading Consortium. After some time he became one of the leaders of this Zoner faction. Among various activities, he was responsible for the supplies of the ZTC stations, in charge of establishing contracts related to trade (new trade alliances and requests to relevant authorities for trading special goods), involved in diplomacy and in some research activities in the field of biology. After the ZTC/Omicroners disbanded he spent most of his time deep space conducting research projects on gravitational anomalies and unstable jumpholes. (detailed bio here)
I was born in April 796 into a family of Zoners in Baffin system. My parents were tech workers on Shasta at that time. I grown at the station, went to local school. There I first met Alex Mush. When I was 12, he worked as head doctor in one of the station's med blocks, and also taught biology in the local school. He somehow noticed me, and when I graduated Shasta's school, recommended me to one of colleges on Cambridge.
I completed a course of astrophysics and also finished civilian navigation courses. We stayed in touch with Mr. Mush and he helped me through couple of personal crises. By the time I returned to Shasta, my parents retired. I started working as a second pilot on a freighter, then as a navigator on a transport traveling between Baffin and Omicron Kappa. About a year ago I met Mr. Mush again, and he proposed me a place of first mate on Lemuria and his other ships. I even took the command a few times, when pressing matters called him to some other place. He also introduced me to ideals and goals of The Seraphim, and I embrace it with all my heart.
Born on Planet Manhattan, Lara had a pretty happy childhood. At her early age, Lara started music lessons as she had the most beautiful voice. She was a winner of several music awards when she was just 10 years old. Her parents, which were very well known school professors talked her out of music and pushed her towards, what in their eyes was more important - the education. Lara had excellent grades and had big potential.
When the puberty hit her, she had some downs... fell in love, broke up... then again fell in love and broke up again. Hopefully, she realized that education it the most important thing so she finished both Biology and Chemistry studies at Manhattan's University. Lara was also a volunteer, she was helping injured both animals and humans.
When she was 26, Lara decided to leave Liberty space and continue living somewhere else - in The Omicrons. She started living on Freeport 9 and started volunteering. Lara made a purchase of a Zoner Transport and started shipping food for people, mainly Corsairs on Planet Crete and Order on Akabat. Not so long ago she joined a newly formed group called the Seraphim. Now, Lara is working on her project, but tends to leave it a secret... for now.
Her motto: " You can make world a better place, only if you try "
Alex was born to a family of a doctor and professor of history at Planet Cambridge. Raised on a college campus in a spirit of freedom of thought and expression. At 18, Alex attended a medical college to study neurology and neurosurgery. He graduated 6 years later and was sent to planet Spargue for an internship in a colony hospital. It was some months before Rheinland fleet supported by Nomads commenced bombardment of Sprague and invaded Cambridge system.
Weeks and months of jumping between stations, running blockades and waiting for sieges to lift. Alex lost count of them, and of people around him starved, dead from wounds, killed by the enemy and killing ruthlessly only to live another day. His family was evacuated from Cambridge, but he could never find the transport they were at: it was lost somewhere in ice fields trying to reach New London.
Finally, he ended up in Magellan, at Freeport 4. He hired as a doctor to the station's hospital and worked there to the best of his ability. He assumed Zoner views and lifestyle, as his trust in government bodies of the Sirius was destroyed.
In the next 20 years, he traveled between Freeports, working here and there, providing medical help where it was required, and hauling medical supplies to the most remote regions of Omicrons and Omegas. He sometimes remained for years at some station, and sometimes changed a dozen in a month.
Alex is reserved person, he doesn't talk too much and when he does, his statements are short and concrete. He's still pretty capable as a therapist, though his neurology skills are a bit rusty. He possesses a cautious curiosity for Nomads, as he has seen them in very different situations. He also very cautious to all House authorities, as he's not confident about their competence at all.
Alex enjoys solitude of long travels through space, and even his crew sometimes doesn't see him for days during especially far trips. He's by no means a combat pilot, although he'd been in several fights, he can't boast of many wins. Most of the time he considers himself a winner if he can just get away from a fight.

Fighters and Bombers: Fighters and bombers are partially adapted to transport passengers, they can use up to 10% of their cargo capacity to transport human beings.
Other ships: These ships are not adapted to transport passenger, the number of people they can transport is limited: 10 persons/freighters and 20 persons/transport.
Passenger categories: Like commodities, transport of passengers is regulated. Class 1 passengers can be transported in the context of a mission that has been validated by the Seraphim. Class 2 passengers cannot be transported unless they are found in space and require immediate assistance. In this situation they should be transported to the the closest friendly or neutral base unless the local authorities decide differently (we comply with them). In this special situation, the cargo limitation may be bypassed.
I like everything about it, but, maybe, the tag. I don't think it looks really good. Nevertheless, I think that there must be a major part written about the faction income. Providing such a wide range of services and R&D work demands funding.
EDIT: I'd gladly join BTW, but I am occupied with RL.
Thank you Jazzi D for the info. I've contacted the story teller to check this issue.
Thank you Swallow. I am open to tag suggestions. Also, the income will be roleplayed ingame. It is clear that currently the Seraphims cannot achieve all the tasks. Partnership will also be an important part of the faction.

Hi, just to mention I'll be away for one month. Back in business on August 2. Anyway, Alex Mush will be around so do not hesitate to contact him if needed (@casualty).
