Regarding some new commodities we have like Survey Team. Wouldn't it be better to have these mountable and to be bought at the equipment store instead of being standard cargo?

Voted no, I already have my equipment slots filled by equipment that do things (except my docking mods), the purpose of the RP cargo is a money sink / a pirate target

The only thing you have for them being mounted, is that you dont have to go to the trouble to buy them again all over the place when you die. I think the money isnt a issue, but having to move around.

I saw these things as special stuff you buy for a mission or similar. Then you acquire them for that mission. So for me it is not a problem that they are not that easy to get and loseable.

they are very easy to get

Every Research Station sells them and Freeport 11, 2, 5, 6 sell them, its got a pretty good spread on it

If they are mountable equipment they will be far less visible to anyone who scans you, since a scan shows the cargo hold first. I rarely look at any of the equipment on a ship I scan but almost always check out passing cargo. Since they don't actually functionally do anything, having them mounted as equipment accomplishes nothing but preventing them from being lost upon ship destruction, which they certainly ought to be. And as noted, they are available at every research base and many freeports in the game, so they are widely accessible.
