I think you're pretty much ready to start detailing, the shape seems fine.
If I have any gripes with it its the civilian looking cargo containers it has strapped to it. If you could maybe make them clearly Maltese without making it look useless either, that would be interesting.
Edit: Added in to the model list with the tentative name Aspis - didn't want to go with a weapon for this one.

To be honest I have no idea what OC ships are. I think about caps atm, with BW textures and all. Snubs? Uh... Well...
All of the existing caps from Tridente to Ranseur share some common defining features, which is a mark of a good ship line. The snubs done later by Massdriver really don't fit in at all and aren't something I'd object to replacing in the future.
Perhaps reuse the Reapers of Sirius ships and replace the ugly as sin Outcast ships with those?

I would. Those are quality snub models, and while I agree that consistency within a snub or a cap line looks better than lack of it, I'm less convinced that it's necessarily throughout a whole line as well. Though people not liking md's snub line can still fly the classic Sabre line anytime they want.
