It has been just about three weeks since the LN/LSF mini-war sparked off. The whole thing is (more or less) stalled until LibGov finally gets off its ass and manages to issue a statement, but it looks like that's as far off as ever.
Can anyone - preferably someone involved in LibGov itself, rather than someone with an opinion that doesn't actually help me understand things - please explain to me how a Skype channel of ten or more people (as far as I'm aware) can't even manage to tread out a few paragraphs of continuation RP to help things get moving again? If we're retconning the events of the past few weeks, then I'd prefer to know sooner rather than later so I'm not left wasting my time waiting for something to show up.
I am getting sick of 'being stuck in Alaska' iRP, since I do actually enjoy flying my =LSF= characters.
If this war is not retconned and it is actually part of the lore, it is a great opportunity for the GRN to request California within their ZOI, not only for the officials but the indies too, and finally return what Liberty and Rheinland had. It would be unrealistic to only sit by side and watch while your enemy is fighting a civil war. It is time for a full invasion, and it should not be missed. Except if I am misjudging the scale of the war. I guess the official government statement should make things clearer.
Basically, libgov likes to sit around and do nothing. We literally just got done with a three week long vote on how long we should have to vote for things. Want to know the result? There wasn't one, because not enough people voted for a specific length of time.
I made an ultimatum in the chat: move forward with the official posts by this time tomorrow, or I'm putting an end to the whole shebang. Libgov is the least competent government chat of any house, nothing ever gets done, and I'm getting ready to leave. The only times things happen there are when I make them happen, see the Passenger Law. That was voted on and passed within 8 hours, because I was kicking and screaming about it all day. I'm not going through that again.

While "Texas mk2" might seem appealing for some people from a gameplay perspective, it wouldn't work very well in that regards. Also, lore-wise, the GRN aren't stupid enough to actually push head on into heavily-defended Liberty core territory before finishing off its major problems elsewhere first.
With the lead dev shooting down that proposal, I'm not so hopeful myself, Thunderer.

Not that heavy when they need to withdraw forces to keep a highly specialized, militarized Intelligence Agency in their own borders.
And I am saying that although I was always opposed to GRN in Cali much. Gallia is too often making no sense to me but I'd rather keep the course up now than back off.
As to the response. I just read that there was a post ready and will be posted.
Role-play wise, California is not so heavily fortified any more, but it will be if the GRN allow Liberty to handle its own problems. However, this only implies if my assumption that the LSF have some considerable assets to fight with, is correct.
