Now I do understand it's cool to have a little pvp in conn, train yourself, and enjoy pvp.I do it myself.
But when you see entire factions making most of their activity time in conn, something is wrong.
When you barely see Core| , D9| ,KNF,GRN and many more "inactive" factions logging ,and you log another char just so you can go interact with them,or even pew,and you see them instantly go to conn, something is very wrong.
Like, really.Entire systems are dead, and the people who should be populating them are in conn.I see dreadnoughts and battleships in conn like nowhere else. And they pew there.Cause why go to a dead house/system and make activity, when you can go in conn and make activity for your dead faction?
Stop wasting time in conn.Go,pvp there for some time, but then go back. You stayin in conn for hours and hours is only harming the server activity.I'd like to see more than NY and conn as the 2 most densely populated systems.
Time spent in Conn is not added to activity tracker, so no, factions can not "grind" even a second there for activity check. It is even written in the faction activity tracker
Quote:Note: Activity in Connecticut and Bastille is not counted on this page.

Sometimes people want to play the game and that part of the game is practicing PvP. Are they meant to make an indy ship exactly like their faction ones purely to go to Conn in them just so people don't get upset?
They are going to still be in Conn if they do this and you are still not going to interact with them. I think when the Crusade marches on, East we must face but West we must go. It's easy.
Maybe no Conn? No practicing of an essential part of this game? The wise camel once told me he didn't need practice and I ended up losing every PvP battle we did in Conn. He was known as the Reaper of Souls and he almost got me but I am a Crusader of the Light so I didn't die.
Anyway, Conn activity probably doesn't even count to the tracker thing. I wouldn't know, I am still new. Either way, these people will be there, on a faction ship or not, and practicing. It's fun and games are meant to be fun.

Until you realise that game and server rules are exactly that, telling people how they are supposed to play.
Conn has always been an oddity because it is an area that breaks all the server rules, its a fight club held in the orchestral section during a theatre play. A blackhole that sucks activity away from the server for the sake of convenience and effort.
The true irony of course is that those who sit in or visit Conn most frequently are the ones who are the most vocal in complaints of having no activity in their chosen areas/factions.
As someone who is not good at pvp, I'd rather have the PVP-savvy players in Conn, and not out and about. Makes my killshots appear less in bounty board claims.

Somewhat this for me. All the times in Conn have improved my ability considerably. When I'm better at PvP, I die less in the normal part of the server. When I die less, I get in more RP. More RP = happy player.
EDIT: plus its fun to see Spazzy testing things. 60 Banhammer Thors *shiver*
