@Alley - Thank you very much for your efforts which i appreciate a lot actually.
The idea of tokens is brilliant but i am afraid that it will affect a lot of players. You will have to get a token from the admins to play the game properly as i understand, which is actually going to depend on the activity of the admins because i can imagine that queue of players waiting their tokens for long time because of the already heavy burden that the admins have.
I think discovery need 10% of it's members count to be admins, and it's really needed to facilitate the work on the admins. If the discovery peak can reach 140 players online then we need 14 admins, so they can cover all the required issues + the new tokens and following them closely. I suggest assigning more admins as soon as possible and this will help in decreasing the down times too because they will help a lot in accelerating the fixing processes. That's all, and again, thank you very much @Alley - You are the discovery savior
I think there's just going to be the initial week that will be very busy or almost dedicated to tokenization. For most names the reply should come within five minutes or so as we already know you are an established member. Once we get past that initial wave, it should be easy to manage.
Oh, and what happens if someone does actually log a ship he should not have access to?
(I still think connecting the launcher to the forum account might be less trouble for the user than having to figure out where to put a code, it might also have other advantages.)

It will be once for a person. The token is tied to your client, not your characters and not your accounts. You can play all of the accounts you have access to with the same token and 2 people with (obviously) different tokens can use the same shared accounts.
I've answered this myself personally at least 4 times now and so did Alley. Do you guys even read the thread?

Tough luck for giving them the account information. The tokens govern your client not your accounts. Once you get your token everything will be as it is right now.

Launcher. Token is basically your access password to server, you just put it in your launcher (or even more launchers if you play on more computers) and it will let you play as a member.
1. What kind of details will we need to provide?
2. If you forget your token will a procedure be put in place to help a member recover their token or will they need to start from scratch?
3. Does the token have a time limit to it, similar to your characters on the account will it be nullified if it hasn't been used for 30 days?
I apologise if any of these questions have been answered, I am busy at the moment and I don't have time to read through all of the replies right now!
Awesome idea in my opinion. Not only will this keep out hackers and griefers, but it will weed out rule breaking new players and actually make them read the rules.

I hope it will be like that and won't extend to become a major problem on discovery in the coming days.
Also, we need something from you @Alley please. We want to know any ETA for the server because we are blind here knowing nothing about the return time
It's also holidays here and i ll go to work again after tomorrow, so can you please tell us when the server will be back ?
Even a range of time that can be +1 or -1 days please
Thanks in advance.
