We'd like you to welcome two new Moderators to the staff. They've been around for a while, have helped in many ways, and thus the staff felt their efforts could be further utilized by having Orange names.
Congrats you two, you're in for it now. Get to work and remember, don't smoke alcohol.

Please, welcome our new Administator of the Discovery Gaming Community - Spazzydragon a.k.a. @sindroms
Looks like a month to me, minus eight hours and 16 minutes, if we really want to be that precise.
Then you should look twice, Zelot, because profiling on constant negativity isn't the way to go. In the end, it's just a tempban, and constantly questioning that topic, even when fully aware that the admins have the householder's rights, should come to an end, as this ban wasn't malicious but a good decision, looking at how this thread was derailing. It sets a clear sign: Behave, or deal with the consequences. Behaving is not only acting borderliningly within the rules but also treating other people like human beings and not like working machines.

There are much better ways to handle it. The trigger finger with which bans are used is a troubling sign.
It was a temporary ban when Div approached me on Skype and outright stated that he was indeed drunk off his throne. So before he did something he would regret later, I simply allowed him to cool off. This was not the first time I do it and not the last either. He can state what a horrible person I am after sleeping it off.
Since I'm a bit worried this was missed in the overall (popcorn)...

In the case of Clockwork, I kind of understand it's a bit buggy considering I haven't debugged it for a while leaving up to Alley to see whether it's even possible to implement it on the forums, however I would proceed with finishing it once I know that it can be implemented.
Deleting all the post of a member doesn't affect only that member but all the community when said member has been involved in the rp scene for quite a while.
This is just a lazy way of pressing one button to remove all posts without dealing with the specific problem.
So why?
Are you trying to set an example out of him just so none else does what he did knowing the risks from this point forward?
and another question:
What did he do so wrong to deserve this while the others were not treated the same?
Why did it have to be everything deleted? We lost an important comm part of our initital lore and set up, and a few MDs and comms, (which are now harder to find and archive now)
Would it be possible to not purge things from rp section? Or is it limited? Thx.
In short, I was under the impression that our type of backup allowed restoration of selective changes to the forum, such as user post data and forum sections. Turned out to be not the case, though Mama Alley came home a tad too late to slap our wrist for that.

Sorry to spam, but I just wanted to get a clarification. Does that mean if anyone who has keys to a shared account of a faction decides to change password and take full control of the account the admin team won't help resolve the issue. Think something similar to Laz's ragequit of Core, but just the account.
That didn't get answered back in it's original thread. Thankfully stuff with Sanja has been resolved and we got the password from him, but it still left me wondering what the Admins' stance is when someone hijacks a faction account and changes the password then refuses to give it back.
In such cases the account is removed the faction group, if it has any, and it is applied back to the leader. Otherwise, shared accounts follow the same policy as shared ships - share at your own risk and choose who you share it with, really.
