Mi stood up herself, after hearing that her love already got promotions she smiled at her with mixed feelings. This was nice but also worrysome in some way, what if Florence was to reach a too high rank? Could she ever get free days then? "My my.. what do you aim for, dear, becoming the Queen of Gallia, leading them all alone?" She told her jokingly in an attempt to make herself see nothing negative in it all. - She took a few steps towards Flo then and grinned. "Community service too? You somehow remind me of Ly there, sweetie.. well, it's great to do this, I guess." She started to chuckle and leaned down in front of Florence after she told her that she wants a drink. "Fresh juice, huh? What juice exactly~?" Mi started to chuckle and gave Florence's cheek a quick kiss before already turning around, ready to disappear into the kitchen.
"Queen of Gallia you say?" She imagined the picture of herself on the throne for a moment, which quickly was tackled out of her mind by pure reality. Non.. non.." She said and giggled, sad that this wasn't possible but oh well, not everyone can achieve such aims. "Basically, I want to become as high-ranked as I can, a career like it is written in the books, I think it would actually give me more free time even, I could shove work to the lower ranked soldiers if I want to." She laughed, although being very serious about it, she saw it herself, the aspirants had the hardest time of their life with all the paperwork the high command shoved onto them. "Et oui, it really is great to do the community service, I deliver food to orphanages and the general poor population in a small transport. Occasionally I also ship military goods around, someone has to do it, right?" She smiled and tapped around on the table with her fingers as Mi got up and gave her the quick kiss on her cheek then, causing Florence to blush a little. She rubbed the place where Mi kissed her, a little spot was visible there. "Orange... juice, sil vous plaît." She answered slightly heavy, as if this was the first time Mi kissed her.
Mi chuckled even more after Florence's reply. "There I thought you want other juice.." After this comment she was already gone to the kitchen, just around two minutes later she came back with two glasses of orange juice. Smiling she walked over to bring Florence hers before sitting down at the place she sat at before again, crossing her legs and leaning back. "I hope you don't mind when the next days will be eventful.."
She laughed silently while Mi walked away to the kitchen, those comments became an amusing standard, nothing Florence was bothered by but yet somehow weird everytime she heard them. It was the first time ever that someone was this open about... basically anything, Mi never held back to say her opinion, and Florence expected her to be very tough on her choice to be a royal marine. To her surprise, Mi never seemed angry but rather bothered, very heartwarming, as Florence thought, someone cared for her more than anyone else, and this person was a GC, the last group she would ever have expected such a welcoming person from that even would become more than just that. It was just a little thrill of a forbidden love. "Merci." She said and tickled the downside of Mi's chin as she put the glass on the table. She took a quick sip from it. The taste was very good, extremely freshening and with a good taste, just how the Gallic people loved it, aroma. "Mon dieu, not bad." She raised her glass a little and winked at Mi before taking another sip, larger than the one from before. "Describe 'eventful'." She said with a voice one would put on in an interrogation while wiggling the juice left and right in the glass.
Mi was even now still as surprised as Florence. Just like she could understand that people see her and her sisters as terrorists or evil people in general, Florence surely understood how Mi must feel, considering she developed a hate on the Gallic Crown over the past two years... "I would have been surprised if it wasn't good, dear.. afterall it's.. ."Minami hesitated for a second.
Should she really tell Florence? "Afterall it's one of the bottles we captured from some Gallic transport vessel.. not all of it was sold, I kept a bit of everything for myself." Mi honestly wasn't ashamed to tell Florence but rather feared Florence could take this too negative.
"Oh, and.. eventful in terms of activities.. - She winked at Flo and giggled. - You know, Honshū is huge and I didn't even show you the city yet too..."
Just when she was about to finish the glass of juice she stopped and looked at her with disappointment, her facial expression went from happy to shocked, sure, Chrysanthemums would do such things, but she expected her not to, especially since Florence doesn't act violently against them."Mais... Mi - why do you do such things? I haven't hurt a GC in all of my life and never would, why do you steal from my people?" She put down the glass and stood up, shaking her head a little, she felt no anger inside but just a hurtful doubting about whether Mi valued her enough to not harm her people. She paused for a few moments before talking again. "Even if you couldn't, why did you have to tell me? You knew how I would feel about that." She sounded a bit hysteric, it was just a transport, yes, for Florence, though, this was more like a symbol - a sign about how much Mi could hold herself back in such situations where becoming a criminal is possible but also evadable. The result turned out negative, as it seemed, she tried not to overreact, though, making a scene now that they met again after such a long time was nonsense.
She shook her head. Was it wrong to tell her now? She couldn't really hide it though. "Dakedo.. eh.. but.. I had no real choice, Flo. I command the vessel but I can't act against the codex. There's no way.. I could do it. It were mostly war supplies.. and some food. While we gained an advantage through the things Gallia did to Kusari in the past we don't accept the Gallic Crown.. and at the very rare chances to hurt them a bit, we do it. It wasn't in my choice, be happy you never have to decide to shoot one of my sisters.. I just wanted you to know, is it wrong?" She just went silent afterwards, was there even use justifying her doing? She knew herself that it was almost like a lie, she didn't regret it robbing them, she just regretted that she couldn't stay quiet and had to tell Florence..
"I know you have to, I also have my orders, I am just able to make this one exception, which is you." She pointed at Mi with both of her hands, her voice became a bit quieter with time. "It's just... I don't know what to say about this, I wish I wouldn't care and just nod it off because it was you but I can't." She shook her head and sat down again, she had reached a point where it became obvious how tough such a relation between two hostile groups was. If only Mi never told her, although Florence understood she wanted to get it off her chest, yet knowing that it would hurt her. "I want to look at you, not as a GC, but as Mi, my Mi, that doesn't work if you tell me how you rob or hurt my brethren." She said and gestured around, trying to make her point clearer through it.
Mi knew very well how stubborn Florence could become over this so she decided to just carefully drop the topic."You know.. I rob civilians bringing war materials to the front, Gallia kills people over their own mentality of being superior to anything.. we both do mistakes, I will see what I can do to avoid them though. I could move my focus to an logistical aspect to avoid piracy or other stuff.. what do you think about this then? Is this better.. for.. us?"
She sighed weakly, what else was there to say without risking herself to lose control and shout out her true opinions on Gallia?
Florence waved her hands around in front of Mi, as if she wanted to interrupt her. "It's okay, I know how you feel about Gallia, I know you hate it, everybody does, oui, but it's not fair to tell me about what you do to my people as if it this was a competition, if I am with you, I don't want to discuss the war, I do this at home." She said and pointed behind her. It was true, Florence knew that Mi hated Gallia, but this is a common thought within Sirius, a very common one, albeit that Florence had to say that justifying a sector-wide conquest is tough, Gallia was the evil side in this conflict. The biggest conflict, however, was her personal one, if Mi wasn't there, she would be more ruthless, the current battles are just the execution of orders and there were some people in the Royal Navy who didn't know what mercy and empathy are, who would let a starving family die if it was not of gallic blood. Florence was not like this, she fought the war, she believes in the victory but she also believes in peace and honor, her battles are honorable fights and no slaughters. She waited a few seconds when Mi suggested avoiding piracy and then began to shake her head and halfway rolling her eyes in a compromise. "Bon, that's fine, better than making a big deal out of this." She said and sniffed, her gesture seemed to say that she still was a little bit annoyed.
