Why can't Corsairs use Tigershark instead of bugged Arwing

Until Arwing is fixed and you get new Decurion... I say USE Tigershark... I have no problems with corsairs using it.... You deserve to have decent LF and i hope you soon will...

But for now use Tigershark! Just watch for loadouts...

Unioners, Gaians, and GC all use civilian ships. Please, I would love to see an explanation of how they are on the lawful side.

And Corsairs are decidedly not from Rheinland. Those are the main reasons why I think the Corsairs shouldn't use it. In addition, it's sold on an IMG base. Corsairs have no business being there unless hell hath frozeneth over and the IMG and Corsairs are chums now.

The Tiger Shark is one of the best fighter ships currently available for civilians in the Border Worlds. This light fighter is relatively expensive for its class, but its unmatched power, agility, and reliability are well enough to compensate the price. Built by Rheinland corporations, the Tiger Shark is a popular choice for rich freelancers from all Sirius houses.

There's no way that Rheinland corporations are going to support the Corsairs.

Generic civilian ships (Eagle, etc) are manufactured by Zoners in addition to House corporations. Big difference here. What you're talking about Sovereign is like the Outcasts using AoM's Black Dragon Kusari civilian fighter because our own ship is hypothetically bugged.

Generic civilian ships are a-okay for the Corsairs. Tigershark, not-so-much.

Remember that Unioner were civilian workers. Gaians, GC, once were civilians too. They weren't from a pirate nation that built pirate ship for their piracy job. They most probably were civilian pilots before becoming pirate, and joined criminal rank along with their ship.

Well, then hell froze over. If you check the rumors on Freisdadt, the IMG base its sold on, they actually *are* chums.


Plus, the whole "its sold this place" argument doesn't hold up, remember Planet Kurile? Samura planet, sells the Anubis Order Very Heavy Fighter, as well as Liberty, Kusari, and civilian weaponry? Pfff.


EDIT: Err, Dop, sorry to burst your bubble but the infocards are, for the most part, populated without any thought to what it entails. Exhibit A, check out armor, Exhibit B, the Order, Exhibit C, the new Bundschuh infocard (...), etc...

Letting them use the Tigershark is akin to letting Bounty Hunters use the Supernova. Their versions are absolute carp and/or bugged in an unsportsmanlike fashion. The infocard has no backing to it- it doesn't look anything like a Rheinland corporate ship.

I had no problem with Tigershark use either. It was the weapons that annoyed me. The tigershark is (only just) within RP, so I say use it, just limit the numbers and make sure you fly a large majority of your own shipline in fleet battles.

I know that I fly a Loki as my light fighter for RoS but I have some RP that came about due to some actual in-game events. As such I have no problems with slightly unusual ship/id combos provided there is good reasoning behind them or a decent story.

Dop, where have you been? The IMG and corsairs ARE chums. They were allied last mod, and are friendly this mod, CR is still allied to them. No reason whatsoever that they shouldn't use the ship.

What the heck are you talking about? Have you looked at the texturing? At the Engine? It's very distinctively a Rheinland ship.

If the Corsairs and the IMG really are allies, then I never want to hear the Corsairs bitching about not having enough allies EVER again.

Okay, I'll concede its been awhile since I saw a Tigershark. The image that pops into my head is decidedly non-Rheinlandish, so I'll pull back that point.

And I agree about the Corsairs saying "we don't have enough allies"- they do, there's just not enough people who play as said allies. We've got... one ally, the Order, that has lots of players. The Outcasts have the Rogues, the Lane Hackers, the Mollies, and the Red Hessians, all of which with active players. Eh... maybe people aren't fond of civilian ships?

Still, what are the Corsairs supposed to use for a LF? The Decurion is minorly bugged and more or less useless, the Arwing is completely bugged and hideously unfair, the Griffin is (as I've heard it) absolute junk, and that leaves... the Tigershark, sold on a friendly base (you said yourself its actually supposed to be there), which is the Arwing in all of its stats, but with a different paintjob and no serious bugs. Just pretend its an Arwing, if you have to. The stats are about 100 hull off, and they even signed an arms deal with a few IMG people to buy them...
