nah you have the right ,but it was only an instant imagination inspired by seing this thread in Latest activicy XD . I do not plan to push this kinna story ,it was just for fun ,this is not Stories and Biographies so relax
Been reading over the latest posts, just gonna remind folks that not every idea would be accepted as you would need to 'convince' the factions involved that it is a good idea.
Otherwise I've read many interesting paths such as described by Thunderer and a few others who wrote detailed and comprehensive posts on what they would do.
Btw, laughed at the Imperial Party gaining power in Elune's post. XD It's doubtful to happen due to the way the Rhienland playerbase/bundestag works. XD But still that was amusing. ^_^
But in all seriousness some of what I have read seems well thought out and planned while others are severely lacking in detail. *shrugs* Keep going, what else you got in those minds of yours?
I personally feel like the topic is a bit too complex to just break it down into bullet points and post it here. Pushing the story forward is a game played with everyone while trying to take everyone into account to a certain degree, which is hard. However, if I needed to name just two things I would slowly work towards (read: encourage people to go along with), it'd be:
- Bringing the Gallic/Bretonian war to a close, favouring Gallia. The rest would be up for players/factions to decide. If military/police/corporations wanted to continue a sort of resistance, I would maybe think about re-designing the Bretonian Privateers to make them a sort of resistance movement that wages a war of attrition against the Gallic occupation. Gallia would impose a noble to rule Bretonia as viceroy of the Gallic king.
- Making the Nomads a universal menace. To achieve this, I would have the Nomads use the Suncrusher to destroy a house system. The impact of a complete system destruction would create a Siriuswide initiative to band together against the threat and maybe, the houses would even try to get a ceasefire with Gallia to fight the threat together. Depending on how it is done, the humans could beat the Nomads once and for all over the course of several story events.

Oh, seeing as this seems to be read, I might as well put some effort into it.
The Gallic conquest imo should end relatively swiftly. Reasoning: It has been long enough that a spontaneously invented superpower steamrolled everything in its path. Imo it is time to return to a status when all Houses are somewhat equally competing.
That's how it could work.
End the Gallia vs. everybody war with a big Boom. California ZoI is the right place where the thrust should stop and the conquest crumble.
Have Kusari grow a spine and be brave Kusari samurais and strike in Taus. I can somehow easily think of Bretonia being a vassal state, but Kusari? It does not fit in my mind for them to say: ok, you won, we are nice, obedient now. Kusari would even get 2 enemies... running against Gallia in Taus and clashing in Sigmas with Rheinland.
Give Rheinland a war. They could band up with Gallia as a real pact (which would make sense once they feel pressure) and attack Kusari, Bretonia or Liberty. All of it would make military sense. Crush Bretonia by backstabbing, dampen Kusari's newly-found courage, or force Liberty from committing massively to the effort.
GRN would pull back its forces to avoid too heavy losses, so that they are still strong even after they are back in sensible borders. The Taus would become a Border World like Omega3/7 between Rheinland/Bretonia.
Bretonia could recover a little, so they are not the beaten up sick guy any more, who is close to dying any moment. That's also not cool to play that role like... forever.
Kusari civil war ofc ends by Kusari fighting an exterior enemy, regaining their pride, uniting under a charismatic leader. They would bleed, as every brave risky attack force of good samurai bleeds. So we get rid of the civil war plot that was a failing concept, imo.
Almighty Liberty bleeds, and is not that strong any more.
Grip on Border Worlds get less strong due to everybody being depleted from the last round of massive war, and by everybody having an active war again. Roleplay in BW would profit from that a lot.
Dev team should continue to promote destruction and disarray all over the Sirius, and let players struggle against it. If they are good at it, they could get some minor patches of light here and there, like California Minor habitable (unless burned by Gauls). Or, if players support the trend, they should get more chaos and wrecks all around the place, until the whole sector turns into bleeding, burning Fallout-style badlands. All hail discordia.

I like that idea. A slow descend to chaos (Game of Thrones comes to the mind?) that players can work against, or embrace the chaos (because it is a ladder! - c.f. Littlefinger) to pursue their own goals.
Hey, You dont need new ideas. Just implement the saigon war. If done correctly it'll be the biggest war in the history of Sirius. Lets see the sides that can participate in the war.

That would be one of the most unexpected ideas, yet pretty much plausible given that all the mess within the Sirius Sector sorta distracts almost everyone from the threat that is still out there, The Nomads. If Nomads could make a mess inside Sirius Sector that had been in relative peace (through proxy agents in form of the infectees though), imagine what damage could be done in a sector that is war-torn by wars all around. Nomads aren't gone, they were merely pushed away out of Sirius for the time being. The Order is also distracted by The Core from their initial purpose after end of the Nomad War: guarding the Hypergate.
And given the knowledge bestowed by the ancient race to the Nomads, I doubt there is just one way into Sirius.

Just to throw a match into the kindling, consider that small actions tend to amplify over time. Minor changes in the present can lead to mountains of trouble in the future. Have fun with that.
