Gallia used to have bomber NPCs flying around. It wasn't well received.

That's because of infinite SNACs every 5-6 seconds.
Actually the solution for chainfiring bombers is to give them a custom AI. You can set a separate refire for guns and turrets (the auto_turret = true/false in weapon_equip.) You can force the AI to use the refire and not chainfire at all, even with infinite power, by marking the SNAC as a turret to the AI and adjusting that accordingly.
The difficult part is creating all the bomber NPCs entries, their loadouts and then balancing how and when they appear.
I think its bad idea to put bomber npc spawns. They can fire anti-matter every 5 second, also they have very good aim, they can interfere with player snub brawls
but bomber npcs with bomb launchers like scorcher and neutralizer instead of nova/snac would be nice. they should have standard powercore though
