I like every aspect of the new bc balance. The prior bc balance offered nothing for me because of its inability to fight anything but heavy battleships, considering the opponent was skilled aswell. Light or medium battleships had no issues outstraving or TSing the prim projectiles and thus keeping their shields up. Yes. Those battleships were not really able to hit the bcs, if used well, either. But it was still possible. I blind fired some of the most skilled bc players, such as cptmutchel and his grn bc back then, only with the 4 Prims on my various battleships that I used. Today I just had a fight again with a pulse mortar labc against my pulse HB valor. We stopped the fight when he was drained to 30%, me to 60% hull. It's been no real difference as its been to before when bcs were smaller, slower and had 2 Prims.
About combat ability against cruisers I've heard yet the widest varieties of feedback, from the bcs being too op to being useless against cruisers or battleships. While for myself I cannot tell much about how it is now, from my experience they were pretty much dead meat for cruiser before. I never had any problems dealing with any bc using a cruiser in duels and fleet combat. Their slow projectiles were not able to hit cruisers at all in a range above 1k, which was easy to uphold. The bc didn't turn fast enough to face a cruiser in fleet combat to get in low range or to evade and searching safety on range. Now with higher turnrate and way faster guns these disadvantages are majorly fixed. There are BCs that lack in their job. But that is not due to the new balance changes. That is because their general ship design is outright bad. The judicator and tirpitz have both been too huge and clumsy to hold up in fights. But now at least those are almost able to tank light battleships, which they could have never dreamt of before. Those few still need fixing in size, but should not be taken as Prime example foe the whole class.

Lol. I and @Auzari have killed pretty much every ship class in a 1v1 scenario using a Bullhead with ease. Outright saying they were useless against everything else is a joke, dude. The light mortar begs to differ when it came to snubs, gunboats and cruisers. As did the cerbs.
Not only have the new changes to Battlecruisers made them one of the most useless classes to field in the game in comparison to their more survivable and versatile counterparts, the latest changes switched the position of the Bullhead's traditional primary slots. Believe it or not this is actually unusual. Those slots have always been prims for the fact that they could fire backwards. Whether or not the new slots have similar arcs or if their new location has placed them in a position where they can't fire upwards remains to be seen, because all of my guns and my shield disappeared.
Battlecruisers were perfectly adequate at doing what they were intended to do before. @Spectre put it perfectly.
Funny to see people keep posting samething like "i killed this class"
This really not helping it just proving that you guys killing newbies. Even cloaker BC doesnt have chance against a cruiser
Of course a BC can kill other class ships i didnt say they cant but when it comes to skill BC was pretty much deadship
Like i said even skilled Heavy BS doesnt have chance against skilled BC because of their size
Ive tested that enough to see how useless they are
I also soloed 2 cruiser killed many type of battleship but they were newbies
Ive killed any battlecruiser in 1v1 duels or groupfights
I died when i was alone or cloaker BC with BS support attacked me
Cloaker BC also doesnt have chance against a skilled cruiser unless BC is supported by BS support that means they were group fighting ships not duelling
They are slow and didnt had enough firepower it was easy to get behind them
Cruiser was able to ram battlecruisers and escape and also do more damage than BC do
They lacked firepower it was super easy to outturn a BC
Previus BC vere odd bunch ship class , having exactly same range, speed and Firepower with Primary BS guns with ability to fire them near infinite, and at same time they had near Cruiser speed and evade, and lets not forget they had Cruiser Primary weapons and BC power Core, so, you can also use up to 4 missile Launchers or LM and fire it at nearly at same time. And they had lots more hp than Cruiser to. They were op, so op in fact that even i had lot of victories with them lol.
They needed this change, this nerf, you cant compare old BC with new one, old BC was far superior against BS than new one, and that was bad thing, not for BC, but for gameplay, and this change is step in right direction.
Are they perfect now?
Nobody says that, they still need lots of work to find their place, they are, after all, COMPLETLY new class, with complety new weapons and Completly new role. Treat them as such. They still need scaling, hull, speed, thrusting, moving speed and weapons range/speed/efficiency adjusted,
Old BC tactic not works anymore, new tactic is needed to fly them. This is, after all, game, have fun experimenting and finding that tactic.
I don't understand how you guys find old BCs was op
Doesnt that mean new BCs should be better? Old BCs didnt had fast weapons but they were relying on long-range weapons.
New Battlecruisers now have more firepower and more gun speed, better powercore, more tanky they are basically better at anything but their size increased and effective range reduced by 500m
Some of the Battlecruisers had same size as Heavy Cruisers.
I've increased their size by looking at Hellfire Battlecruiser. Maybe you guys didnt notice but Hellfire Battlecruiser is not resized and still bigger than most battlecruisers and of course way more tanky

If the old BC equipment set was not broken and not OP. Then why was something that wasn't broken fixed? Is this some new Development policy? Resizing them was fine, I was all for it, but they should still have the option of using ranged primaries of some shape or form.

thing is, old BC equipment was hard to balance because if you change something it was affecting the cruiser and battleship aswell. Also main idea was making BCs anti-cruiser because cruisers basically better at anything

Question of the decade.
It honestly wouldn't have been hard to take the guns BCs had already had access to, copy/pasting the stats to new guns, tweaking them a little bit and then calling them a new brand of field artillery. I'd have been all for it, since a BC literally cannot do it's job without either range or projectile speed, two things that I felt it had, and now lacks.

Your focus should have been on balancing BCs against cruisers more, but not by completely eliminating a player's ability to outfit them to act as long range support via primaries. Yes, the light mortar invincibility was horrible and made battleships seem like paper, the concept of this change was clearly a step in the right direction but obviously deviated from this.
BCs need to be able to choose between being anti Battleship and anti cruiser, just like any other capital ship class is capable of specialising in terms of equipment.
