For someone like me that doesn’t invest more than 12 hours a week, trading to save up for 5000 is impossible. But it’s a goal none the less. I can’t see myself doing it but at least I can try and aim for something.

Yeah but There is a lot of people that doesnt need Data or any shiny stuff from Sci-Data rewards.

Its not only affecting the Sci-data Rewards etc it also affects stuff you get from NPC markets or player markets i can wait for pve events and get enough money to buy ships and cau8 etc from markets that is pretty easy.
And while you wait a week to Participate in an event that you might get data from, I will have Farmed the cau8 in a single Day.
Scidata is mostly an addition in Terms of wallet( at least to me), but for all the things that I am grinding up, the amount of data from a few events wouldnt make up. If you desperately need money for something then you will Farm it, and if you dont need anything then the money gained from selling data might suffice for you. At least that is how I see this.
Last words are for fools who have not yet said enough.

Then how is it ruining economy when you have only so many people who buy Sci-Data in first place?
Yes they do spend days to buy something that other person earned for one hour.
You have one person spending days and other hours for the same thing. It means that it's economically imbalanced. Like when some of ore routes brings more for the same time, it's being fixed. I wonder where you are failing to understand meaning of balance.

What you are implying is that it is unfair for the people who have to buy the data when it really is not. If we go down the road that you suggest then every commodity should get you the same money/hour, and to me that is just stupid. Of course some things are better than others, and that is how it has always been in any game and that is a fact that won't Change.
If it was so unfair then people would simply stop buying data for the current price, it is this simple. You don't like the price? Then you don't buy it. And if nobody buys it then the price will be lowered.
Last words are for fools who have not yet said enough.
Okay next step, you have imbalanced way of making money, then more players will go there. Which will mean that a dozen of mining factions across the server will lose players. Those players who left for sci-data way of making money instead of traditional one will fly 1 hour instead of 50. I won't even mention poor and died out piracy.

Because people who are selling sci-data are besically a cartel who is not lowering the price. No one wants to demping, better sell less, but with this price. Economy dev team can't regulate it because it's randmoly drop into the game by admins.

This is generally speaking how the economy is/has been balanced for the past several years.
It is not like scidata is a method for everyone to make money on a daily bases. It is an ocassional thing that most people can't rely on. Those who haul need money in that very Moment or they save up for something bigger. You can't just Expect an event to occur every day to supply you with money, and certainly I doubt that there is anyone who does that.
So saying that factions will die because of this is just overly Dramatic and unrealistic. The amount of money gained from a week of events ( lets say 1 event per week even though that is not even the case I think) and the money gained from hauling in that time can differ. On the long run only relying on data when you need money is just silly.
Last words are for fools who have not yet said enough.

Imagine a trader, playing for like 5-6 hour to just get 300million. Then there is a guy who logs to pve event for 1 hour and gets minimum 200million or max 3 billion if you get the main loot.
