Seeing as the correct procedures have been followed, and also due to us anticipating a Request from yourselves, we can inform you that your Request has been accepted. You may, once the outstanding amount of Three Hundred Million (300,000,000) Credits has been forwarded to the Crown's Accounts, proceed to construct
Oxford Research Station.
Bureaucracy works well, once correct procedures are followed.
Good Luck.
Feel free to contact us if there is anything else we can help you with.
FROM: Dr. Eric Chanikov | Oxford Institute | Planet Cambridge
Greetings,
Oxford Research Station construction will start on monday.
We do love our own bureaucracy at the Institute.
Thank you for your attention.
Deep Space Engineers (=DSE-) are vitally involved in the construction of jump gates and trade lanes in Pool, essential to the war effort. With the aim to maximise efficiencies with our supply of Ageira equipment, parts and supplies we need to consider the construction of a logistics base of operations.
=DSE- had initially requested to construct a core two base close to Planet Cambridge. We have decided, after much consideration, to ask to build a Core two base in Poole instead. This is to enable ready access to daily supplies, and quick response access for defense by the BAF and BPA, as well as a safe haven for our workers in Poole.
Our first preference is to construct close to Plymouth Outpost as that would enable harmonizing our operation with our close allies Ageira. Our second preference would be in the vicinity of Caernarvon Station.
We realise this would need permission from the War Cabinet. Please be assured that once our work in Poole is completed, we would hand over ownership of our base of operations to her Majesties Bretonian Government.
It would also be absolutely necessary to have two defense platforms constructed given the very hostile environment that =DSE- will be working in. Without the security of adequate defense systems, we would not be able to operate with any ability to safeguard our workers let alone any Bretonian corporation who would be involved in the supply of goods and equipment.
We look forward to a productive and mutually beneficial response.
The area around Plymouth Outpost is currently exclusively for the use of Ageira Innovations and is not available for public/private construction. Your second suggested location, in range of Caernarvon station, is acceptable, however, you should understand that no applications will be permitted for weapons platforms if your installation is within the 10K range of the station
Deep Space Engineers (=DSE-) thanks you for your expedient response. =DSE- acknowledges the limitations as put forward regarding placement of our base of operations in Poole.
As ownership of the base will eventually, no doubt, be handed over to the BPA in time, =DSE- tenders to BPA the naming rights of the base. If not, then =DSE- will name it.
Given that the base of operations would not benefit from the protection of Caernarvon's defense weapons, we would request permission to increase the defense platforms to four at our discretion. The safety of our staff and Bretonian citizens is paramount.
Once we have your response re: naming the base and increasing the defense capability, then we will submit an application to build. Could you also inform us, as =DSE- is a stalwart friend and ally of the Queen, the Realm and all its peoples, whether there is discretion regarding compliance fees?
We look forward to a productive and mutually beneficial relationship with all Bretonian authorities and merchants.
Application and licencing fees apply to all entities, even those belonging to the crown. As for the naming of your station, though not something we would usually do, i personally would recommend the name; Dorset Station, after a historical earth Bretonian county which Poole was a part of
As for your pre-application for weapons platforms. As you suggested DSE has a long and positive relationship with the Kingdom and i see no reason why your application for 4 platforms would be refused, assuming you stick to the agreed distance from the current installations (trade lanes/stations/etc)
Base owner and affiliation: Deep Space Engineering Name: Dorset Station Location: Midway between Caernafon Station and Plymouth Outpost slightly to the left so it is 11km from each and not in the immediate path of the proposed trade lane. Intended purpose and duties: Base of operations for =DSE- whilst we continue to construct the trade lanes to Caernafon Station and eventually Plymouth Outpost. Docking privileges: BAF|, BIS| and BPA) as well as approved Bretonian and Liberty shipping and supply companies and independent suppliers. Deposit: 50,000SC deposited in QCG|HMS-Majesty.
We look forward to a productive and mutually beneficial relationship with all Bretonian authorities and merchants.
