Very nice cosplay. I want to do a Jedi Temple Guard eventually, but I don't have anywhere near that kind of talent for making this stuff.
A jedi/sith of some sort is likely going to be my next project, I've thought about doing a temple guard as well since I like their white/gold theme and the yellow sabers.
The skull was a solid resin cast, and originally the head of a cane used for a halloween prop. I carved most of the 'spine' part of it off, and added a slot for the leather center belt on my outfit to fit through, riveted on both sides to hold it in place.
Sits right next to my grenades and knife, centered on the front of the belt.
painted and stained it a bit to better match the color and wear of the rest of the outfit.
Working on the rifle for my kit, started with a cheap-o (20$) Rubies Boba Fett EE-3 Blaster from amazon, very poorly made but it'll work for a base:
First step was to cut off the stock and barrel tip. The gun is too short, so I needed a longer (and sturdier) stock, and wanted to extend the barrel to make this more into a long rifle instead of a carbine:
Rough Before/after size comparison:
First coat of gloss black as a base, and stained the wooden stock:
Current progress, have the barrel shroud, barrel tip, and stock cover plate painted and waiting on them to dry. Did a graphite rub on the rest of the blaster to give it a metallic look. Next up is going in and painting details by hand and doing a clearcoat on the stock while I wait for the paint on those other parts to dry so I can attach them.
