Zoner Docking Rights

there has yet to come an official inRP explanation on why Zoner Whales are not permitted to dock on any non-Zoner station in sovereign house systems. (Which should be hard to give, given Junker bases are abused as docking spots for unlawful capitals.)

The main reason the Zoners can't dock in House space is because they can use 5K transports and would make not only the Freelancer ID, but most corporation indie IDs completely pointless for trade due to the freedom the Zoner ID offers rep-wise, and that's a balance perspective. How many times i have to see people arguing cause they can't stop trying to mix game balance decisions with RP?

Don't just take that out of context. That was related to SRPing a SpecOps-ID, but in order to do that, one would need an inRP explanation why a Whale can't dock in sov house systems.

So, if I understand correctly, a Zoner 5k can land on any base (in theory) within house-controlled space.

Ergo, a Zoner 5k could dock at Freeport 14 (Alberta), Bethlehem (Pennsylvania) and Harrisburg Station (LPI).

But the same could not be said of Barrier Station, because the Coronado system is classified as Crayterian sovereign house space.

I'm suggesting limited Zoner docking rights, not parking your Whale willy-nilly in any base of your choice.

In afterthought, I should have added the (Zoner) PoB option. I know of one located within sovereign house space.

As far as balance goes, it's not the players' fault if a faction (in this case a mercantile faction) is considered uninteresting.

And I've never understood why Freelancers can't own a 5k. If they can own a vessel costing upwards of 500k, they can afford a 5k transport.

who said that? that is not what it is in the rules. Coronado is one independent system. what matters is not what one faction says " that system is ours" what matters is what the server rules say, and the server rules say is :

House Controlled Space: Cortez, Hudson, Magellan, Zurich
Outer Independents: Bering, Coronado, Drake, Galileo, Kepler, Laptev, Inverness, Puerto Rico, Unknown, Vespucci"

basicly the 5k .. not even the 5k, it is more than 3.6k ban is that some players think that just because you are a zoner you can trade at will and nobody will bother you ... so wrong! in theory you can adjust you rep and dock on any base of all factions, execept nomads and wild, thing that no other faction can't do, except freelancers.

the id says it all, you can't dock abouve 3.6 k transports and capital on house space. there isn't any zoner and freelancer on house space. Pennsylvania, and Omega 49 .. aka Exeter .. is controled house space so you can dock there without breaking the server rule .. now the laws of sirius rules, mainly liberty, says another thing about the capital ships. There is 4 freelancer bases, One Coronado is 3 on 1 base is not house space, not even controled house space, there is one on Cologne that is Rheinland controled house space, so you can dock there with the Zbt, and the same you can do on the one on Provence that is Gallia controled space, and the one on Sigma 13 is not even on house controled space. So ... no need for this poll, but if you want to dock your marvelous ZBT on any base, even on house sovereign space, join OSI.

standard zoner ID doesnt need any changes. If you want to house trade as a zoner, just use an under 3.6k trans like normal FLs do.

Actually, poll not so pointless. This thread has clarified some things for me, confirmed others.

Sorry, not interested in joining OSI.

I still think it's no leap in logic to being able to park your Zoner 5k at a Zoner and even a Freelancer base where-ever those base me be.

Zoner neutrality is a myth. It's more of a realpolitik.

Also, pointless reply to this thread is pointless - just sayin'.
