good meme
Keep b*tching on the forum about how someone else runs a faction that you don't even care about instead of populating the server, i'm sure it'll all work out in the end.
The problem is when those corrupt cops start threatening your space installations for which you already pay close to billions. Then it goes from "corrupt cop RP" to "yeah this is not fun at all" real fast.
It's not about the money or the corrupt cop thing, it's about you not breaking the law and following very simple orders. Stop for ten seconds to let the officer do their little roleplay scan, or get shat upon for not being able to contain your autism for ten seconds.
Obey the laws, pay your traffic violation fine (wow 20 million!), or don't play in Liberty.
If you're going to play a Lawful, and you want to pull stuff like this ie corrupt cop or lawful evil man you need to be careful. These IDs carry a lot of power. Law lines are essentially a free pass to perform almost any action for any reason. If someone doesn't agree to whatever you're trying to enforce them, consequences can range from money, to being banned from a faction's bases, to being banned from an entire House. Abuse of this is the kind of thing that leads to a Lawful ID getting nerfed. Ie, the GMG ID, Cryer ID to name a few examples.
Granted, law enforcement is slightly more restrictive these days because law edits have to be reviewed before they can be immediately applied (for the very reasons/examples I've described above). But many law posts do have these 'respect' laws and other things that in my personal opinion should be rarely enforced and exist as some RP fluff. At most, should they ever be enforced, it should be with fines like 2 million. It should never be enforced with demands as ridiculous as 20 million.

Relating it to my point above, this is a really dumb thing to say. Can we please not get all Lawfuls nerfed again because someone can't control themselves.

I prefer to enforce them with destruction. It's only a million or so in ammo for the dead person, and I get something worth far, far more than money.
Alright, I've slept, eaten and have time to look at this again. This is basically why I came here. In LPI's own words, the following is said.

You'll note I have not once asked the fine to be overturned, or complained that it was levied.

And this is both why I'm not asking for it to be changed and why I'm complaining about the amount.
A group that is held in good regard and believed to be law abiding is being charged 20 million fine for, as far as I'm aware, an exceptionally minor breach, considering that the LPI running this moment, saw the rest of us in Bering, ignored people greeting it and left silently, and then immediately decided to run a cargo scan on another of that group moving to join them. Cool, thats fine for the most part.
Except, since this is going to be the defense against it,

Then I'm inclined to point out that they clearly don't as our past actions were thrown out of the window, along with those of the Reaver you can see him ignoring, which has historically claimed a billion dollars in bounties against the Liberty Lawfuls.
If the actions have consequences line is the one chosen to defend the amount in this case, which is fine, then I'd expect actual logical choices to be made. For example, if refusing to stop and swearing is equivalent to four dead ships, then it starts to look ridiculous.
I will leave as a note, that the pilot who didn't stop, was just playing in line with their character, and didn't expect any drama like the past pages has provided.

In regards to this, Inferno sadly hasn't been Forlorn for a while, yes I know I need to update the member list. But in general, the other people are just stating their opinions, which is what feedback is for.

Your boy cruised and took the lane. Very hard to chat when he CM my CDs. Inrp ask for the fine to be reduced and will reduce it. This is getting dumb.

It is only getting dumb because it is dumb. And I say that as your friendo Kalh. You werent in for such circlejerks before, get your senses back please.
