This lag happened in base when I select the dummy guns at Red Station in Conn in single player but not with other guns or commodities if we exclude the more people issue and it doesn't happen in chat.

It happens when using wireless logitech mouse with high CPU load
Wire connected mouses, usb or ps2, never had the issue
my mouse is with the wire. The only thing that's broken is the middle mouse button.
You have to bear in mind that Freelancer is a very client-based netcode, stuff like how smooth your mouse is moving is not affected by your connection to the server. There's no communication involved when you move your mouse in the UI.
How up-to-date is your PC? I can only think it's still caused by hardware - I don't believe anything else on the server has changed recently in terms of connections or the mod content itself that could introduce this issue.
Disable any overlays (Steam, GeForce Experience, etc) and settings that may be influencing your input as advised by @Save My Soul. I've had similar issues with GeForce Experience overlays a few years ago until it was disabled.
Please observe your resource monitor as well when it happens.
How could I classify it as a plugin/mod/program issue? In any case it always worked with and without overlays and the pc is updated. I'll give a try but I don't think it's that.
None of us had such a problem before. Therefore, this bug appeared about a week (at least a few days) ago in several completely unrelated players. And it's definitely not hardware related. Even when the bug annoyed me often I didn't see any deviations on sensor monitoring. Neither FPS drops, nor overheating, nor power surges. By the way, I use HWiNFO64, NVIDIA Inspector, and Resource Monitor (Windows default one). I can assume that the problem may be due to two things: NVIDIA graphic card driver, or something is really wrong with the server (I mean not the connection, but the latest update). But these are just my guesses, eh.
An hour ago during mining I ran into this bug again. Just for a couple of seconds, but still. Well... Apparently, things I did helped, but not completely. Will anyone finally answer me, is there a word "NVIDIA" on your GPUs, people? We badly need to narrow our field of search.
Well it just happened and my NVIDIA overlay is disabled so that out of the way. CPU load was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. The only thing that was up was the fluct - 5ms.
Fresh intel. Yesterday, in the evening battle in Languedoc lag was just terrifying. Please, can someone help us, eh? It can't be our hardware. I've no idea what the problem may be. But I'm starting to think that it may be server-wise.
Piombo, will you ever answer the question about you GPU? Do you have NVIDIA or not? I already doubt that problem is in NVIDIA drivers, but we need to understand what unites the three of us in this issue.
