Greetings, Mille.
I hear you're an engineer of sorts, specializing in engines. Was wondering if I could have a good old chat with you. Send something back if you're free.
Huh, word must be getting around then! Glad to hear my name's being spoken in good spirits. I'm a techie that specializes in power distribution and efficiency, but I'm trying to follow in the footsteps of an old friend who's left me the vessel I currently fly and learn more about what he did engine-wise while applying my current knowledge.
Stafliers... If I'm not mistaken your headquarters is near... Ames, right? I've been around there even though I haven't been flying for long, I should've probably stopped by!
Anyway, I got my ship in a bit of a scuffle as of late but it should be flying again soon. I'd be happy to sit down and chat anytime though!

A day or so ago I bumped into a pilot by the name of Michael.Evans, they had good things to say about your talents with propulsion systems. I'm curious, what kind of vessel do you fly? Trying to find something that's better than a Kali-Class for surveying and charting jobs.
There's a small project I'm trying to put together, though the prerequisite knowledge is well beyond me. Maybe you can help. Since you're already familiar with Starflier Base in Kepler, feel free to land when your vessel has got a green light to fly. I'll run my idea by you there.
I'm currently in Omicron Delta, charting out a select few systems to build our cosmic database. It'll take me some time before I return home, at least this way I'm keeping myself busy while your ship gets repaired.
Ah, Evans! I've known him for two weeks give or take...
I'm flying a first generation Claymore. It has its flaws but the previous owner, Jackson, heavily retrofitted and altered it seemingly for exploration. It's not quite comparable to other ships of its class given what I've heard but what's interesting about it is the lengths he went to make it efficient to have the fuel last for longer.
I think given the current day and age we can apply similar concepts to a more modern vessel to achieve what you're looking for and perhaps even copy the efficiency modifications to an extent or even design an unique engine block based on those modifications.
So, what's your callsign, Halpert? It's probably wise for me to hit you up in comms once I'm around.

If I'm not mistaken, that's a gunboat tier vessel? Much too bulky and slow for my liking. But if what you say is true, you know the ins and outs of what makes these engines tick, we can see what my Kali-Class ship can do with a modified engine.
My vessel's profile is on the Starfliers public page. Otherise, if you don't fancy a bit of reading, my transponder is '\S/'Pulsar. See you in space.
Somewhere in-between a heavy fighter and a super heavy actually...
Well, now that I contacted you I hope that I've managed to clear a few things out! I'm looking forward to meet you in your headquarters. Also, looking into your vessel's profile tells me some interesting things, I believe the Kali was the original frame for the Claymore... Maybe we're onto something already.

Suppose that's good news, having some degree of familiarity to begin with. I can have the techs partially break down the engine assembly upon arrival so you may inspect for yourself. See you soon.
