"Leon, a vessel designated Renzu|Pioneer is trying to contact us from just outside the main door. A Shukensha-Class Liner? I'd love to see that in person!"
"The Renzu rep is here. Good. Is Halpert in by any chance?"
"His vessel is listed as RTB."
"Excellent, let him know I'm taking Pulsar out to land on the Pioneer. I'll be back soon."
"Godspeed, Leon."
Leon hops into the Pulsar and begins the departure sequence. All this work only to fly a few hundred meters and initiate docking sequence with the Liner.
"This is Leon Vicci of the Starfliers, requesting permission to dock on the Pioneer."
Shukensha was parked just outside the station, humbly waiting for it's guests. Pride of Renzu corporation, desgin tht defines world "luxury". Ship lidar picked up small vessel that mached borderworlds series fighter. And main computer, as it was instructed, contacted pulsar. "Incoming vessel, you're clear to land." After that machine contaced Maria via the internal network. Maria was talkng to her subordinates, as they were guessing what ideas their new client will bring to them. The Crew saw everything from megalomaniacs to kusari purists. But Renzu is not a Renzu if client expectations are not satisfied. That principle helped Renzu to endure. But that's another story, my dear reader. What is important is that right now crew was on a standby , ship was more like a buzzing hive. "Oh, our guest is here. I'll be in a minute. Prepare rheinland bar. Linda, I want beer, snacks, waitresses. Everything. And fast." Answer was short: "Yes, maam."
Pulsar's lights turn on as the ship automatically adjusts it's position to land on the Pioneer. The door slides up as the ship slowly makes it's way inside. With the sequence completed, Leon completes his landing checks before the cockpit slides open and is greeted with the interior of the Shukensha-Class. A comfortable sized room, with Pulsar right at the centre of it. To the left of Leon's ship, a walkway leading deeper into the vessel, two other walls sported windows looking into Kepler's storm and the third had equipment for refuelling and light maintenance. The presentation of the room was quite neat, having a luxurious colour scheme and details growing even more exotic as the walkway gets deeper into the ship, almost wanting any pilot who docks here to explore inside. When Leon puts his helmet in the cockpit's chair and lands on the metal floor, he turns to see a couple people who have out-dressed him in every sense make their way over.
Meeting committee, that's how it's called in places where people wear tight business suits. And this committee was no exception of that. Two guards in Renzu-colored heavy combat suits with an impressive amount of weaponry with them, accompanied woman in her early thirties. Black business suit with small brooch. That's what you need to get that job done. She waves to the pilot of Pulsar, and quickly shortens the distance: "Good day, and welcome on board. I can't say that your trip was long, but , indeed, it was safe. And it's a pleasure to meet you in person. My name is Maria, and I'm Renzu Corporation acting CEO." She quickly pressed her brooch, and talked to pilot again : " Kepler is too gloomy for my taste, The Keuin is much better. Off we go!"
"My name is Leon Vicci, leader of the Starfliers. Thank you for having me aboard. Can't wait to inspect your ship and have a deeper chat about my project."
The mention of Kepler being gloomy was something Leon can agree with. He misses seeing the stars and wishes at some point the storm can move on so se can see Kepler's sky. The group starts to move further into the ship.
She smiles lightly. We have only four bars and one casino. Small one. But i think we'll start from the ship's mainframe. Ship starts to accelerate towards Shikoku Gate. But, indeed, no one ever noticed it due to inertial dampeners. RenzuSec fighter wing quietly wipiing out every filth they see up ahead,while Pioneer is approaching the gate. Maria walks towards the turbolift and press button. After you.
A whirring sound came from the turbolift doors, and with a slight hiss they slide open.
"Thank you."
With no time to get a word in, the turbolift accepts the passengers, speeds through to the requested floor and the doors open all in the span of a few seconds. The group moves out to the Pioneer's mainframe where he feels he can accurately describe what his project is. Noting that the hallway and adjacent rooms look a little bit like the engineering deck on the NX-01, Leon's thoughts turn to Burton. Hoping he's still alive and well in prison. His plans to remodel an Enterprise-Class liner into a research vessel would be handy to let the Renzu Corporation know exactly what the Starfliers are trying to achieve. However, right now Burton resides behind bars and his plans aren't leaving with him anytime soon.
"Quite the ship you have, inside and out. All the more reason why I think this will suit the Starfliers well."
Ships mainframe was full of various computation servers, hubs and other important nodes. And all those machines were just doing their tasks. From flight avionics, to Biomolecular mechanics. Seems everything was in their grasp. All you need is to ask questions. And obedient machine will give it you. Pioneer was actually not an ordinary Shukensha liner. Indeed, Leon was shocked by it's luxury. But Pioneer was an embodiment of more utilitarian approach. But, guest's wishes are absolute. Thus, some question must be asked. Maria turns to Leon Well, Pioneer is a relatively new ship, but it's using hybridized core. Powerfull optronics for daily operation, latest gen ,indeed. Bio-neural processor for difficult tasks. And multiplexors for situatiions when you need something fast. Pionner mainframe is more than capable to serve as mobile HQ and R&D station. She notices, that an expression of some impatience appears on his face. If you're getting bored with all those tours, we can continue in our bar. I hope you like beer and some Rheinland snacks.
"No, not bored. Just learning as I go along. My knowledge of luxury liners comes from Orbital Spa & Cruise, specifically their Enterprise-Class liners. I'm more wondering if aspects of that ship are similar to the Shukensha-Class."
Leon takes a moment, sighs and continues.
"Ideally, I would have my engineer out here with me, but he's... unavailable at the moment."
A terminal in the far corner of the room had a holographic table connected to it. Leon notices the setup and turns to Maria.
"I know what this is, though I don't know how to use it. Possible to pull up a schematic of a standard Shukensha model? After this, I'll join you for some Rheinland snacks."
