Our people in Omega-7 have reported that it's been quiet. The station that was rumored to have been attacked appears to be at full hull strength according to scanners. We're unsure if these renegades are still around but we are maintaining our vigil over Omega-7 for the time being and have intelligence assets in other regions investigating as we speak.

J did a final pass through the system before departing. The base seems to be structurally sound with no evidence of any attacks. Additionally, aformentioned tagged vessels are no where in sight. Most likely due to an abundance of Rheinland forces present within the system as of late.

Looking through the intel J, just the letter, provided, I see a massive build up of ships of different colours. Core and Auxo teaming up together against Unioners? That's surprising to say the least. Makes me wonder if there's something else at play around that Kruger base.
Since the renegade corsairs are nowhere to be seen, I'd like J, just the letter, to keep monitoring the developments. I'm very interested in any shady understandings those factions have.
As for your payout, it's being handled as we speak.
Following my previous tentative final report concerning the incidents in Honshu, I feel the need to wrap this up fully now that my operations are concluded in the Omega-7 system as well. With the the sudden disappearance of the renegades, I feel that our operational status has concluded.
Despite ongoing surveillance of the targets both within Honshu and for the brief amount of time they operated within Omega-7, they maintained strict tight-beam communications between each other with very little spillage of information. What we have to report is based upon observational data rather than concrete information.
It is suspected that these targets may not even be Corsairs at all, considering their adamant refusal to listen to both The Brotherhood and Deterrence, both of which are established organizations within the Corsair Empire. Additionally, their use of Corsair slang (Hola! Hola amigo! Greetings senor!) almost seemed to be used with a sarcastic twist instead of a genuine greeting. Lastly, they would repeat "We are under orders." when commanded to cease hostilities against the station in Honshu. Who these orders originated from is also unknown despite our best attempts to uncover this information.
All of this information culminates in a belief that this may have been a false flag attack by an external party using Corsair assets to create a divide between the Empire and Kusari. When you add in the fact that the base in Omega-7 was hardly touched, you begin to see a pattern emerging. With their attempt to create a divide between Kusari and the Corsair empire failed, they have retreated to focus on another angle.
This is only a theory based upon the requisite information collected from Honshu and Omega-7. I advise you keep a close eye on any equipment that may be in reserves or slated for destruction as unfriendly elements could have easily taken these ships and used them in this way.
A second theory is that the empire may be splitting with the differing generations. An idyllic, younger, generation may feel that allying themselves with a house government, that has often been enemies of the empire, is not something they want to be apart of and may be attempting to return to a "simpler" time. By attacking the house under the flag of the Corsairs, they may have been attempting to force the powers that be back into a more conservative footing; bringing back what their elders may have romanticized in their stories.
Lastly, and this is something concerning (and a little bit paranoid I'll admit), is the possibility of Nomad infestation. I'm sure you're aware of this possibility concerning your close alliance with The Order, however this is something that should be considered, even if the least likely theory amongst the others.
Concerning the Core and Auxo activity in Omega-7, we believe this to be a side effect of the increased presence of Rheinland military in the system due to the threat of the regenade Corsairs. We don't believe this is connected to the current contract we have been operating under and have only provided this information as a courtesy (and maybe for a bit of a laugh).
