Liberty would win the world over if it learned to just let go.
But it won't, and we'd be fools to hope for this to change. The Liberty Free Republic is our last chance to see our founding virtues and freedoms survive in this sector.
So I hope you're willing to fight for it by any means necessary, armed with the knowledge that every world wishing to be free looks to us for courage.
3.) Place of birth
Answer: Planet Houston, New Garland
4.) Describe in your own words your previous experiences, your view of the Xeno Alliance, and your motivation to join:
Answer: You've seen these events unfold. The liberty navy striking down on the last insurgent stronghold. Ships trying to break through the blockade to flee out and away from a place they've once called home. Lot of them were men and women disillusioned with the navy, and choosing to side with what they've thought was the right cause.
I've served the insurgency for years. Mostly patrols in Vespucci, but I had my fair share of clashes against the navy, and with the Xenos on occasion. Right now, I've made the choice. The noose is getting tight around our neck. Out of the three options, I went for this. We are past our last stand, but small ships can still break through. I could, just barely. In an eagle that is now worse for wear.
I could flee, and die a traitor to both my house and my previous cause.
I could fight, and die a meaningless death for a long lost cause.
Or, I could live to fight another day and make an impact. I choose the latter, but the final decision is in your hands.

Another wayward Insurgent, you aren't the first and I doubt you'll be the last. Some people might call you a coward for turning your back on Vespucci, but there's no sense in dying for something that isn't worth it. Keep in mind that by serving the interests of the LFR, we're drastically less tolerant of people who turn away from their own people.
With that said, welcome aboard. Please submit any intelligence or data you might still possess from your tenure of service to Ouray's quartermaster when you see him.
4.) Describe in your own words your previous experiences, your view of the Xeno Alliance, and your motivation to join:
From the toxic fumes of industrial Pittsburgh to the oh so perfect scenic view of looking up and staring at nothing but space garbage. With parents in the mining business with Deep Space Engineering, and surely a future that would never see a single sparkle, mining is, was, and still is his life.
Hacking and coughing from the ongoing exposure of this industrial wasteland, Bevan never believed in a life other than the poverty he lived in, slogging away at the debris field and being as careful as always with company equipment.
His parents have since died of lung failures and overwork by the corporations of Liberty, with DSE barely giving a wink at what they have done to his life, promising that things this time would finally change in employee welfare and of a pension for loyalty.
Years have passed and pay has not risen, life is still as destitute as before with enough only for food, some clean clothes, and copious amounts of cheap alcohol.
Having scanned the poster and finding out about the Xeno Alliance; brotherhood and family was what he was looking for, and a chance to take his fate back into his hands.
While he may not be a stellar pilot, he has spent years in a mining freighter, dodging debris whilst maximizing his cargo loads to hit company "bonuses". Bonuses that allow him to actually survive that is.
Perhaps it's time for a change of paths, one away from the banality of a Libertonian slave, and one of a Libertonian warrior.

Applied to train as a patriot pilot for the Liberty Navy, well that's where the dream ended. Told by the big boss that my face "doesn't belong in this kind of organisation". Found my way running the odd job around New York nothing to heavy but not exactly legal.
My life took a turning point when I bumped into a old boy wearing a leather jacket with Xenos emblazed on the back, never heard of it before but what did care?
the old man sat me down and told me about the Legion and the connection it had to the Xenos. More and more intrigued I became that's when I asked him. Where can I find these Xenos?
HAHA he said, "Oh son you don't just find the Xenos, they find you, and you better pray to what ever god you can that you're on the right side".
For months I searched for the group, running a small bar in Vespucci often bumping into the pilots, many of them carrying the tattoo of the Xeno emblem. I didn't dare ask because nobody likes a guy asking too many questions. Then one day around June, a random transmission. From Callsign "Cobra"
"My people have told me you have been looking for us"
I gasped barely able to speak, how did he know? how did he get into my comms port?
"If you're serious and you have done you're research then you already know where to go"

My home on Durango was declared “unsafe” and “built illegally” by some Federale claim jumpers from the Office of Housing and Planetary Development, so I done up and moved to the big city. Some young folks at the Boron refinery told me about the Free Republic - and I ain't ever been no fan of the taxman, so I’ve come to declarate my allegiances and so on.
Experiences I’m right proud of:
26 Silverton Mining Expeditions
5 Years Synth Foods Cattle Rancher
2 Years Mayor Diablo Basin Mining Settlement
Amateur Dentist
Now, Old Abe ain't much for wrestlin' anymore, and I ain't ever done no debatin', but if yer gonna get into a scrap with them Federales, I'd be right happy to come along for the dust-up.
3.) Place of birth
Answer: Pueblo Station, Colorado
4.) Describe in your own words your previous experiences, your view of the Xeno Alliance, and your motivation to join:
Answer: Since I was young, I grew up in a coddled existence, on a 'safe' base in Liberty. Not allowed to venture past the station, being helicoptered by my family. Both of my parents are higher-ups with Ageira Technologies. Constantly working, with no time really to enjoy their only son. My time was spent with tutors, nannies, you get the idea. I grew up without any taste of the real world.
As I got older, I started to venture out a bit on my own, get a taste of adventure. I saw the rat-race my parents lived in. I saw the brutalization of citizens by LPI and Liberty forces at large. I saw foreign competition erode any chance Liberty's citizens had at a stable life, and I felt nothing but rage. Rage for the life that many live, and eventually got desperate. Desperate to escape the corporate clutches, to make a difference in the world.
And that's when I found the Xeno Alliance poster. On an obscure bar on Denver, it hit me. Call it dumb luck, or divine guidance. But that poster led up to today. I am ready to fight, to free Liberty from its corporate conglomerate. To show people true freedom.

4.) Describe in your own words your previous experiences, your view of the Xeno Alliance, and your motivation to join:
I grew up in Colorado. I was never one to sit idly by. I was never one to let people starve. I was never one to back away from a fight. I was never one to shy away from taking what I needed. I was never one to shy away from taking what we needed. And so I fought. Xeno.. that was a label assigned by others. It's what I was called, and so it's what I became.
I picked the bones of transports others had raided, but far richer prey was found in the fat Samura transports that came through Colorado. We ate for a week off the first ship. So, sure enough, we took another, and another. Steady food supply for me and mine, and a good deal of people on Ouray besides. I often flew solo, sometimes almost paid the price for it. You don't burn the escort within the first few salvos, you're probably screwed. Got into a few tussles with the Navy, too, but I'm still here. That's my experience.
I cared not for the alliance. I still don't care for your grand designs. All I ever did was get by. But times are changing. Navy's looking a lot closer at folks like you and me since the Insurgency's gone down, guns blazing. Everyone needs someone watching their back. I figure I'm more useful fightin' for.. whatever utopia you're aiming for and surviving, than dying alone. We don't see eye to eye. But I'll be damned if I'm letting me and mine rot in Liberty's prison camps.

Awfully half hearted for somebody with so much conviction.
I'll skip the frills, not that there ever are any. Report to Ramsey and receive your kit. As a volunteer you will be a detached element of the Alliance militia acting in service of the Free Republic.
You will be entitled to some basic benefits and incentives, but not the full extent of support that the Alliance offers it's regular personnel.
If you have questions, take it up with one of our representatives at the Fort. Petitions, if any, should be addressed to the Commander's office.
4.) Describe in your own words your previous experiences, your view of the Xeno Alliance, and your motivation to join:
Pittsburgh Miner. Family were Immigrants from Bretonia. Thought it'd be better in Liberty. Suppose they were right, barely.
Spent half my life digging rocks before giving up and taking a tenure with the good old Liberty Navy. Felt good to be one of the big boys instead of stumbling forward on a shit rock in the corner of New York, for awhile at least.
When the whole civil war thing happened, i stayed with Liberty for awhile, running around playing ensign on a capital ship. Wore on me. Got tired, watching us fight Seperatist and then Insurgency warships, watching pilots and crewmen get dragged off to whatever godforsaken pit the LPI has lined up to work them to death in, so i jumped ship. Real good time to do that wasn't it? Stay on the winning side and then abandon ship to join the Insurgents when its already clear they're losing, fucking genius aren't it?
But somewhere in there was something that might have been worth it, maybe a Liberty where people don't spend half their life rotting on a dustball breaking rocks for barely enough to live. Well, not anymore, not from them. Everyones gone now.
I heard somewhere along the rebels and Xenos were allied, then they had a spat and broke ways, but i don't care about some politics i wasn't around to witness.
I spent some time serving as a mechanic on Insurgency ships the past while, spent the last couple months serving on a battlecruiser, newly built and all - albeit from scraps and broken hulls - but they're not sticking around. After everything, the Captain and most of the crew are bolting, running off to the god damn Tau's and abandoning what they apparantly believe in. Fine. Their perogative.
I refused. To their credit, they gave me a fighter and some provisions and waved me off. But for fucks sake. I'm not an experienced fighter pilot, and even if i was, theres the entire navy out there.
So. I'm calling in. Liberty is my home, even if it wasn't my families, and i've picked my side, and i'd rather go down fighting for something worth it than go back to breaking rocks or finding out what dark hole the governments found to throw people like me. I got acquainted with a few Xeno supporters on Pittsburgh earlier in life, before they got broken up and dragged off by LPI at least, and somewhere along the line someone said that the Xenos believed in that.
Unless that's changed, you're the only people left to fight with, because i'm sure as anything not joining with a god damn band of Rogues.
If you're willing to overlook the case of my parentage, well, try not to leave me waiting too long.
