Whilst it has been ages since I last properly played, Vito was one of the best people I ever had the pleasure to fly side by side with as the Order. A kind man who never let down his friends, someone who had your back through thick and thin.

Without him, Disco will forever have lost one of it's best. My condolences to his family, and everyone else who held him dear. Let us never forget this hero.

He truly was a pillar of this community, no drama, just actions and kind words. And probably among the very few people that truly deserved the title of Humanity's Shield!

I had the honor of participating in a few Order related events along his side, they were always fun.

This conclusion should be a lesson for those brave keyboard warriors that stay behind their monitors thousands of kilometres away and congratulate the war effort regardless of side or political beliefs.

Dozens have spoken to Vito about leaving the area he was in for days on end. I had several lengthy conversations with him, all of them showing off Vitoniz as an incredibly intelligent person and a courageous soul.

But, this did not save him. It has not saved 100.000s on the Russian side, and it has not saved just as many on the Ukrainian side.

War is no flower power contest to glory. There are only so many Ghosts of Kyiv up there until it all turns into Bakmuts on the whole front. For this reason, we should look at such matters not through emotional lenses, but through facts.

It is indeed very saddening that he died, but he died doing what he believed in. He did not let himself be blinded by propaganda from either sides, and still chose to remain behind and fight. It is my hope that no other such news arrive here, as we have a sufficiently large community of Ukrainian and Russian players in Discovery.

May this war end soon.

Rest in PEACE VITO... I hate to write huge posts, but this time, I don't know how to explain my emotions...

Firstly, I met him in 2015 in Ru-speaking community while he was explaining the rules and topics of disco to some Russians or Ukrainians. I stayed and listed them all. To be honest, this time I still had no idea how to play here or what I should do, but I still remember what he said. Several months ago, I tried to play again, and then I met Mike (which is banned here, and if you think that I'm Mike, ban me; I don't give a shit). Mike insulted me many times and told me to go to Vito and talk with him. When I contacted him, he was busy, but he answered honestly and helped me. He gave me money, knowledge, and everything else, which was going to help me understand disco.

In 2017, when I registered in the forums for the second time, I asked Russian-speaking people about Vito, and then I understood that he is still alive and still helping newbies adapt... That hit me, because he was the old person, and he had played here... He was always here, and he wasted enough time... Hero... He adapted most of the Ru-Ukr guys here. And if you see someone from Russia or Ukraine, I give it a 98% chance that they know or have even contacted Vito.

God damn, he was a good person, which doesn't deserve to be with KIA status...

P.S. Sorry, I can't control my emotions. Vito was one of the best in-game friends I've ever seen.

Here, I'd like to explain my story in 2020–2023. Vito takes the main part here... When I had the idiotic idea to join more and more factions, one of them was the Order. When I applied, Vito immediately wrote about my mistakes, and then I got approved. We played approximately every day in 2020–2021, because me and him wanted to pew pew pew. He taught me how to fight on battleships and maybe caps (my memory sucks). He was my disco father, who gave me everything and helped me adapt. I'd like to thank Groshyr and Gardarik for adding VITO to their QC and MAE enclave chats. Really, thank you guys for organizing the Ru-Speaking site in that discord... Vito made my official order gameplay... His faction is the Order, and nothing else. His part of a soul belongs to killing nomads and purging the wild.

When the fucking war started, Vito was mobilized (or went by himself; I badly remembered that). I tried to contact him, first with success, but in 2022, in May, we had a good talk... When I contacted him in November, he hadn't answered me yet. I thought maybe he had problems with wifi or etc. Months ago, in November, I tried to contact him, but I had no response, so I thought he would answer me later. In December, I still got no answer; for luck, I wrote him... Today, I realized that he was dead. I have no strength to explain my pity and sadness, but I hope that he has his own place in heaven or something like it. He deserves happiness.

Never be sorry to share words like this when somebody has passed. Their memories live on and in that way our loved ones live within us that much longer. You seem severely moved by this news - I would recommend that you reach out to friends and family to talk about Vito and your thoughts. If it gets too much, try counseling. I for one am not afraid to say that I have had to seek help.
