We all hate it when our work get‘s destroyed, but such is life in this game.
Everyone knows what happens once you deployed your base, at some point someone wants it gone. I lost a couple of bases aswell. It happens, I knew I would lose it at some point. One of my PoB‘s got sieged because I pirated the guy to often. Did I complain, yes for 5 minutes, then I moved one and continued to play.
I think we can all agree that we are far away from having a good rule set and mechanics about PoB‘s, both in sieging and defending it.
Yet we are still playing, more or less.
And a fact people should not forget, the playerbase didn’t got so low because someone sieged x amounts of PoB‘s, it had other reasons.

Finally something of rationale that can be worked with. Discovery's player base is failing for multiple reasons and not just POB sieging, I agree. The problem is that it's the same core of players that, for whatever reason, have a hatred for POBs. This boiling point that you and others are seeing out of a segment of the player base is the lack of changes that are being made with little to no feedback provided from staff. There was one change made a couple of months ago that is just a a piece of tape over the problem. We aren't being heard. Sieges could potentially be fun for both parties if the playerbase is listened to. There's been several ideas voiced but none are valued. When we feel like we aren't listened to, that's when we have problems like we have now.
You might be able to move on from from your woes, and I applaud you for that. Others have become sick of it. We all have our tolerances.
I hope that either all of us or none of us are judged by the actions of our weakest moments. But rather, by the strength we show when, and if, we're ever given a second chance.
Stop trying to justify your sick hate for pob's since you think every one should fly a star flyer and waltz in space
Thats what made discovery nice was diversity.
To accommodate the fighter the trader the economist the pirate the alien and the base builders that like to
create stuff and like to put up trade hubs where other players dont have to waste their precious time to get ore to trade
but can just pick up ore from a base and be on the go again
But with the low server pop as it is you still only can see one track mind like a horse with eye flaps on you dont see
the bigger broader picture you lied so much you believe your own lies to be the truth.
If there is one player style that should be honored on the server its the base builders because they take crap from everyone and most the times they end up doing all that work alone not to their own benefit as some idiots would make others to believe but for the well being of all other players that arent pew pew addicts.
Some base builders even go out of their way to stock commodities for other players to transport or use in RP to smuggle around with pure for RP sake and fun.
And all these base haters think of uh duh dude uh huh uh what base next uh uh oooh my brain not working anymore
People that make freelancer or zoner bases make it so that all sides of whate ever story can meet there trade interact and who knows what rp can spin off that but no all these idiots get their rocks off on is kill base
no pobs to keep ore no more traders no more traders no more interaction for pirates no more interaction for pirates etc etc and so the story go on
Good Well kept bases with rp in game and on forum keep this wheel turning but by all means if you want to sit in your friends mom basement and pass the lube one day keep on trucking the way you do.
And just a note my friend some of these "things" i mentioned earlier they were still swinging on their daddy when i started play fl so keep the crappy remarks and blame shifts to yarself
Not every POB-related conflict could be resolved by diplomacy, unlawfuls RP initialy assume that them doing alot of things on a whim. Like destroy stations or kill men just because their soup was bad today, or he saw wrong flicker color on a ship. But i doubt that will satisfy you.
There could be alot of another reasons, like faction politic changes, expansion, setting monopoly on ore trading, just inRP nemesis-level hostility, would anything of it satisfying reason for destruction of months of work?
POBs kinda great as commodity exchanger and generating activity linking such way players from different timezones, but unfortunately everything what you can improve in them stuck into either weak freelancer economy or flhook limitations.
Ah also when something in game become a work, probably it is not a good mechanic. And yes, im too wasted alot of time on this all.
processing of core upgrades by the admin team, scidata model changes, and RP requirements for core upgrades also need to go. everything needs to be done in-game using gameplay and game functionality exclusively.

Now that is the best thing i heard so far imagine base go poof cause some idiot want to get his rocks off
At least you can rebuild without all the forum crap related to it you had a core 3 or 4 or 5 base why wait all that
time again to get it back up where it was unnecessary.
And if people allowed to "OORP" attack a base then admin must be allowed to "OORP" restore a base from a backup
I hate when BoP syndrome is trying to tell that you are ""OORP" hater and trying to get as much attention that yells for the whole community as a victim and the whole game is dommed and etc, but no, you have to either accept you're lost your pob and you can put another tamogochi or take a break and play something else. There should be a sign when you put a pob with "If you place this pob you accept that it might be destroyed" or something. BTW placing POB is OORP too,
