Modding is always extremely hard. Many games wouldn't be alive or reached the popularity they have without the community and the people interested in making mods. Games like Euro Truck Simulator 2 and his sibling American Truck Simulator, Farming Simulator, and so many others. So have patience, they are doing their best.
Meanwhile, I saw a couple screenshots in Discord, where a few very interesting snubs were teased. That would be just the apetizer the people need; playing with new toys until the big patch is done. Would it be very hard to make that happen?

Nobody said it was not hard, it is hard, and everyone acknowledges this, and are grateful for their work - however, the main problem lies in giving impossible deadlines, while teasing for it, only for it to be delayed and thus, ending up with broken and unfulfilled promises. The main problem once again, lies with the time. It's been more than a year that this magic patch that will solve everything was announced. Another problem as pointed out, was that it reverted to making big patches, while a long time ago, it was meant to be small patches, over time. Doing this would be quite good, and better - and what they initially went for.
There is no need to complain about delays. We have been waiting for more than a year now. Once we get to see what the next patch is, we should thank all of the developers that made it possible for us community members.
I am sure the patch will bring a lot of new features that will enliven the mod in ways never seen before.
The teasers presented by the developers are just the tip of the iceberg of what's to come.

If you think you can do everything better, you can always sign up. Otherwise honestly you should be grateful that there's anyone still working on this old and niche game really.
Some of us tried and didn't get signed up. What an arrogant and ignorant way to communicate with community. It's a shame some people are unable to learn to accept the complaints and just move on without responding and making it look worse.
We have the right to be upset that release date was pushed. You have the right to delay it until you are ready to lunch. Both sides can be correct on this subject.

Nowadays it's more improved with some trust to get the stuff done and some more communication happening.
A reminder to everyone that @Haste did admit that the patch will not be done by 01/09 due to how rich the content is.
We all have our gripes about the date being pushed back. Some of us coming in a little strong about this than others. Be grateful that an announcement was made and that an incomplete patch wasn't pushed out that would anger you lot more.
Be patient, sit tight. It will come. Those of you paying attention to other upcoming releases may be aware that you can rob banks and undergoe space flight in another universe soon to pass the time. PAYDAY 3 and Starfield being the titles I'm referring to.
Good luck with the rest of the work that still has to be done Dev Team and thank you all for all the time and effort you all spend on the Mod to make it great for us!
Blessed in he who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed.
While I guess that most of us did expect that there won't be a patch today, I would say, most of us are "mad" that this info literally got posted today.
And before someone comes and say: "Haste already said this in the general discord... or in 10000 pm's" Yeah sorry mate, not everyone is in the general discord by various reasons.
I just find it kinda strange, because it reads like you knew already last week or even 2 weeks ago, that the patch will not hit, why inform the community so late?
Next time, inform the community before that, and not on the day where the patch should hit.
